Because people want to farm Nightshade but not get attacked most likely.
I never saw it called hordemode on any of my alliance characters. I’m not saying it didn’t happen but I don’t feel it was as widespread as you’re making it out to be.
When I went to the Maw again not for the story mode and saw all of the skeletons like Oondasta had been reborn within the maw I went “Nope” rolled backwards, turned off warmode and went on my way. Many Horde do this.
This thread is similar as the Alliance complaints about WM. There were Alliance who did complain about it yet kept it on. There wasn’t this unified “Psh w/e bro we can just turn it off, its all good!
” Mood that you’re suggesting.
I’d wager OP was either on a PVE server before WM or switched to horde shortly before its introduction and doesn’t know how to handle when the other faction is over baring in a certain zone.
OP will get over it and turn off WM or hopefully switch to Alliance because of this and start the re-balance of things. More than likely though OP will just continue to complain because if Nazjatar is anything to go by Alliance is going to be in that exact same spot all of Shadowlands run.
They don’t get attacked with WM off though…
PvP happens in WM, it’s not there just for bonuses.
I’m sick of people acting like entitled brats when they don’t like the very clear solution to problems they create for themselves, but here we both are reading each others’ posts.
Turn. Off. Warmode.

Right, but they want less competition. Not justifying it just explaining.
Turn off Warmode
Sounds like it’s time for you to take a break.
Sounds like a PvP problem with a PvP solution.
Or just turn off warmode.
Imagine forcing people to turn off warmode, because you still want to be able to grief with no repercussion. This is garbage gameplay.
There really should be more than one way into the Maw though. At least give people a chance to move instead of making a royal rumble.
Imagine thinking pvp in pvp mode is bad.
By enabling warmode, you accept that this can happen. It’s not griefing.
Form a raid group and kill them, disable warmode, or find a creative way around the groups like hopping on the rocks on the north part of the refuge and gliding north.
Sure, that’s why you guys wouldn’t shut up about it at the beginning of BFA.
But funnily enough back then you weren’t telling them to stop crying and disable WM, you were telling them to disable WM so “blizzard can finally learn to make things fair.”
This is a bold faced lie and you know it, but you won’t admit it.
OCE Horde has been begging for this bonus to be gone for a long, long time now since it makes things awful for them.
But now you’re acting as if Alliance wanted to be gone? This is rich.
Oh hey, another case of someone both pretending the Alliance is the underdog, while claiming on the same sentence the Horde has more power.
Your mental gymnastics are always a treat to watch.
No one is forcing you. Get your own 40 man raid together. Fight back. Camp them.
And if it fails, the game gave you an option. You opted into wPvP. Either embrace it or leave it.
A 40 man raid group blocking an exit and ruining your day isn’t pvp. It’s garbage
It’s almost like you can turn it off…
It’s not garbage gameplay, you want the bonuses without the danger. Soon as you turn it on you consent to me tossing a giant meteor at your face.
Enabling warmode shouldn’t enable griefing
PvP happening is not griefing.
WM should just be removed honestly. The bonuses just give people the wrong idea of what it’s for, and allows some people to farm almost competition free. If people want to PvP they can just flag themselves like it used to be.
It’s not danger when it’s straight up gatekeeping. I leveled with wm on and got ganked by rogues, obviously thats not an issue. This is similar to how people dispel world buffs on classic. You can’t use the “you agreed to the terms and conditions by turning wm on.”
