Stop Adding Skirts To Leather And Mail

Just stop. When you design armor around druids and shamans it shows. Every set with a skirt you can tell was designed for casters. Non-casters get :poop:ed on when you do this as can be seen by the low effort goofy looking clown pants that get thrown together as an afterthought with weird looking textures that make no sense looking like the model is using the wrong texture.

For example shadowlands is again following this trend of design around casters. As can be seen with the ardenweald leather. Designed for druids not rogues, monks, or demon hunters.

Another example was the horrendous looking mail set for 8.3. The non robe version is so low effort and sad looking.

Just another reason why class sets need to be a thing. Could add them in shadowlands, but nah too much work. Just throw a skirt texture that doesn’t fit on a pants model and call that rogue or hunter armor.

Too bad there isn’t some sort of system where you could “transform” your gear into a set you like more that included pants and avoid the evil skirts, not physically but just the appearance.

That’s crazy talk though.

Counterpoint: Please add more!

I love wearing robes when healing. You can transmog the robes away; I’d love to have more than a handful of robe choices.

To your point, perhaps, I’d love it if they were just regular robes, not necessarily ones with brambles and leaves and feathers piled on them. I’ll take a bunch more Honorbound Outrider’s Vestments, Chemical Resistant Apron, Amber Parasite robe outfit, Robes of Summer Flame, etc.

One of my all-time favs.
Yes. Even if it is a recolor. The color palette is fantastic.

I don’t agree with this guy’s complaint. More skirts!

Sounds like someone doesnt like good looking armor. Seriously, shaman is the mail class that constantly gets good looking armor. A skirt (or kilt) isnt a big deal.

Imagine that!!! I agree that it’s too bad there isn’t a system to change it…

Oh, wait…

(note that the sarcasm isn’t directed at you, Sunne…the OP is just … yeah.)

I want a skirt option for EVERY set! More dresses, different styles, different lengths, skirts with ruffles, splits, petticoats, movement.

There aren’t enough skirts!

(Also, stockings separate from shoes and boots.)

But, Monks and DHs wear skirts. I guess you’re a Rogue? LOL

We need to go the Final Fantasy 14 route and add buttflaps to all armors.

I’m sorry, what? Are you serious?

For some sets it works, some sets it doesn’t. Skirts or what I call “battle kilts” aren’t a deal breaker for me. If it’s a nice set it’s a nice set.

I wish they’d do more of a long coat designs kinda like the kul’tiran coats instead of always doing skirts/kilts. That way it kind’ve does both.

Imagine a duster coat of sorts for hunter. I want it.

If there were short skirts, we could have stockings as pants to go under them, kinda like Black Mageweave.

I’d love more coats as well. The Blightguard set (mail jacket version) is one of my favorites because of its design.

Actually they need more kilt options for shaman.
