Stop. adding. garbage. to. this. game

Wrong.

How about you just not buy any other expansions then and let us enjoy the rest. Imagine doing just that.

Then go advocate for that and stop worrying about retail.

You do realize that you are agreeing with him to some extent, so you do know what heā€™s talking about. lolā€¦

I agree to some extent, I find some things are far too heavily gated and the game itself is WAY too geared around single characters. Iā€™d like to see some more shared currencies so that people are encouraged to play alts, not discouraged from it. Thereā€™s a lot of gated content, far more than previously and the trend of this is steering people away from the game entirely.

Same thing could be said if you replaced Ultima Online with retail WoW. lol

I played Ultima Online and Lineage 2 and would have chopped your body up, camped your entire guild and made you quit.

Nice try. Canā€™t say anything when you mostly played WoW, the most Casual MMO that ever existed.

Also, you realize WoW was dumbed down after Vanilla? Ohā€¦you thought this was a Hardcore MMO?

I seeā€¦

Was two years before WoW was released. It was archaic in comparison. The absolute no lifer gameplay in both UO and EQ made it punishing to play. Even RO was very punishing. WoW on release felt more relaxed and far more friendly in terms of an MMO.

Whoa, waitā€¦ I paid 30 bucks for that mmo, but also paid another 30 bucks for the RPGā€¦ itā€™s WAY bigger than MMOā€¦ :heavy_heart_exclamation:

archaic? its the last mmo with pvp worth doing. had the best housing system, something wow still doesnt have.

better guild system with actual guild wars.

loot meant more because you could lose it.

had personal vendors.

It was lightyears ahead of classic wow. classic took off because it was warcraft not because it was great

Why people pushing so hard for classic to be altered? Isnā€™t that the whole reason for it, because you dont want it altered?

Go and enjoy your dead Classic servers with nothing to do anymore

No because the very best EQ players, all 23 of them created World of Warcraft. I bet you didnā€™t know that. It was an answer to all the things that made EQ really crappy to play.

actually not meaning to burst any bubbles but UO was 1997, EQ was 1999. I know I played both.

I think most of you hate Vanilla because you were complete garbage in Vanilla.

Makes sense.

Then you play dumbed down WOW, and think youā€™re hardcore professional gamers lol

yes we all know the story of jeff kaplan as well complaining about everquest being broken before he started working on wow.

all old news, we know this

Yes, because one-dimensional boss fights that were heavily geared around consumables and resist farming were oh so hard. Try harder, please. Cleared Naxx, you didnā€™t.

I liked Dark Sun Online more than EQ, but UO was better than both

Lol I cleared Naxx in Vanilla buddy.

Back when you still werenā€™t even allowed to step foot in Molten Core.

yeah but no one mentions Ragnarok Online. My god, that was a grindy little monster that oneā€¦

I agree, stop adding target cap garbage to the game

It is not as if the devs are not trying. Just a thought for those who think they are not. Why would Classic+ be any better than a new retail expansion? They thought they were improving the game with all the updates over the years. Shadowlands could have very easily been a Classic+ content patch considering the level is still 60 and look how UNHAPPY people are with that on the forums.

Not everyone is into sinking thousands of hours into a museum piece version of the game. Theyā€™d rather explore an alternate timeline where the 16 years of development took the game in a different direction.

Different people have different xpacs after which they believe the game jumped the shark (BC, Wrath, and ToT/SoO-era MoP all being popular points theyā€™d like to see the game rewound to). ā€œClassic+ā€ serves as a good catchall term for anyone who thinks retail has gone the wrong way, and isnā€™t adverse to altering the sacred cow of ā€œClassicā€ either.
