All though I am in my 50’s and not 65+, I 100% believe it’s a real job. I mean I have a sub to Staysafe that i’ve kept up for almost two years lol.
I don’t think it’s all the “seniors” that think streamers are not beneficial to the game.

They locked my thread, but I’m happy to see others have carried on the fight. This is worse than other streamers, imo, because Raid and Dungeon content has coverage. PVP doesn’t have as much. And Stoopzz went above and beyond frequently.

Funny thing about pvp is that it is, in reality, a niche.
But many of the complaints pvp’ers have about wow are relevant to fundamental gameplay that is shared by pve’rs. Borrowed powers and systems being among the greatest

It’s not. WoW wants to be in the eSports game. And PVE ain’t gunna do it.

Wow has never been an esports candidate. Like, not even in TBC when arena was first introduced. The closest it could have ever gotten was Legion when it introduced templates in PvP. It’s never gonna do that again.
WoW isn’t banking on esports. It’s banking on casuals utilizing the cash shop to pay for overpriced legendaries and carries in content so people can have achievements they didn’t earn.
Bingo, they are the only people that are happy. Where the majority of players are so desperate for actual content or just letting them do the activities they want instead.
Hope the Devs realize that M+ isn’t a big part of the game and should only be a side activity that people can compete in. When do we get to play the game? I just want to do some BGs but nope, gotta do M+ or Arena or Torghast or Korthia or upgrade Conduits and Renown. Heck man just let us play the game.
Why does there have to be all these systems and grinds in the way of playing the game? It isn’t needed.

I’m as anti-streamer as they come - but some of these streamers aren’t as stupid as you make them out to be. ‘‘Quitting’’ during the worst expansion known to man, is the smart thing to do… because as the numbers continue to decline, the fans of these streamers, or streamers themselves can say ‘‘see? I told you he/she is important.’’ When in reality, this game was on a nosedive long before these streamers decided to stop advertising the game. Stoopz quitting is completely meaningless. He literally just quit the game, and PVP has been awful for over two expansions now. So, I mean, if his voice/presence is as important as some of you claim - why is PVP in such a sad state? Because, Ion, and the higher ups don’t value his opinion. I doubt Ion has ever heard of the guy.
This game will continue to decline, and it has nothing to do with streamers. If they all came back to WoW - it would still continue to decline. It has to do with a man and his terrible ‘‘visions’’ that very few find enjoyable. It’s up to him, and his ‘‘team’’ to make it more enjoyable… They’ll make the change, because the decline in numbers, as a whole, will force their hand.
I assure you, the Dev team isn’t sitting in their offices right now saying ‘‘Damn, the guy whose been asking for Solo Queue for the last 5 years just quit!’’ After recent accusations, I really don’t want to know what they’re doing in their offices - but I’m 99.9% certain… it’s not that.
This is the sort of statement you make when you don’t know what you’re talking about. A lot of the changes that salvaged 9.0 from being a dumpster fire are in large part due to him. You can see his videos, his asking of the community to constructively post, and the subsequent changes follow a time line.
Its not worth my time to say more than this, but for the benefit of anyone who wants to be educated on this subject I’ll post and say the quoted texted isn’t just wrong, it’s ignorant. And it’s the major reason we’re saying people shouldn’t post in threads when its out of their depth.
If you don’t like PVP, fine. But the convention wisdom that “Wow pvp has sucked forever” is just that - what everyone [who doesn’t PVP] tells each other. Those of us who do PVP care very much, and 9.0 showed a lot of promise.

The guy who advertises for a streamer who has been advocating for terrible ideas for years now… wants me to believe said streamer had any say in any kind of change in World of Warcraft.
Keep me updated on that ‘‘Solo Queue’’ quest you guys have been on for like 5 years now.
Maybe the new PVP designer will actually… acknowledge you.
