I would resub for solo queue arena.
… huh??? Do other things while you look for an invite. What do you think it was like pugging in early xpacs??? Lmao waaayyyyyyyy longer and harder
The content was also easier, and we had more people playing.
Once you have started a group, you are unable to even look at the group finder outside of your own group.
I think they are so hung up on how vanilla was perfect that they think long waits to enter player-gated content are good for the game.
Yeah, which sucks.
There is no disadvantage to adding a solo queue option. If you don’t want to use it, just don’t.
Basically #SoloQueue needs to be a thing.
Don’t you guys like sitting in LFG for 20+ mins every night just so you can actually play the game?
Memes aside if you don’t have consistant partner this game really does suck.
LFG is also really outdated at this point and im suprised an add-on hasnt just taken it over at this point
I’m thinking of learning LUA and removing the emotional elements from LFG.
At this point I’d be happy with raider .io with a pvp branch
This and Bellulars recentvideo on SL having major issues is promising. I think people are finally starting to wake up as to what is going on. Even Preach is starting to get a pikachu face about the game design.
Sad we need popular heads like these to get the message out. Kind of shocked they aren’t all doubling down like some of the white knights in these forums. Guess they are figuring out if a lot less people play, no one is going to watch their videos.
Hardcore paradises where the game only caters to you is great, until you realize you need at least some filthy casual money to keep your game relevant.
Just let arena die in peace.
Or just make friends? And play with them? And stop relying on random players? Genuinely confused as to why someone would play an MMORPG and then… want to opt out of it being… an MMORPG.
The whole point of an MMORPG is to form a community. If you don’t want that… then this really isn’t the game for you… and… there are WAAAAY better games out there that can fill that need for you.
I actually think he makes some good points. Its a total demotivator for a lot of players to have to deal with LFG
Maybe watch the video? He talks about you can’t rely on your friendslist 100% of the time. Sometimes you want to actually just play the game without waiting for your friends or sitting in LFG for hours on end.
Disclaimer: When I say you here I mean in the royal sense, not you specifically Rogmarr.
Completely understand why people want instant gratification. And I don’t use that term in its usual buzzword sense. That is what you are seeking for. You don’t want the inconvenience of having to put for effort to improve your entertainment. You just want a button. A button to click and have the entertainment given to you on your terms. That is literally the antithesis of an MMORPG. MMORPGs are built on the term community. Without community, it isn’t an MMORPG.
As I said before… You’re not looking for an MMORPG to play. You’re looking for a battle arena that uses WoW’s interface. If so many people want this… Then guess what… You have the makings for the next big hit video game ready… Go make it. Stop trying to change mine.
I get you. I and I understand where you are coming from. Its a position I’ve held in the game for years ever since they added LFD. But the reality is that the dynamics of the community are changing. Playerbase is shrinking and too spread out in many instances. LFG is plagued with carries which are overall a toxic detraction from the game.
I am not saying solo queue is the only answer. But it is a feasible one. And if they don’t pursue it then they really need to revision how the community interacts so grouping is easier and more fluid like in the days of old. Things have to change either way because the game is the most unhealthy its ever been.
How is improving my experience detrimental to yours? You have LFG and LFR when there’s noone else to play with, why can’t I? I have been in several guilds, one with over 400 members and they have all quit playing over the years. The same goes for my friends list, from over 100 down to 1 and he plays the opposite faction.
I’m not sure what you mean by solo queue? can you elaborate a bit? Is this different then LFG?
It is just LFG for rated pvp content.
We have zero data to support that. And while yes LFG definitely has bad eggs… there are plenty of groups out there who don’t have crazy requirements. I routinely am able to get content done via LFG. And when I don’t want to deal with it, then I just do it with my friends.
And no, it isn’t a feasible one. I get why people want it. Because it’s easy. That’s why. My point being… the entire point of an MMORPG is to not JUST play with others… it’s to consistently play with others. Its social connection aspect is what separates its experience from LoL, DOTA, OW, CS:GO, and TF2.
Then you make new friends… You forge new bonds… Just like in life… Again, I totally get why you want the easy option. I’m saying, like others have said before, that the easy option erodes the whole point of the game. Which is to form communities and tackle content together.
What you want is a battle arena using WoW’s interface. A battle arena isn’t wow. And yes… turning the game into a battle arena where everyone clicks a button to instantly be sent to w/e end game content they want WILL be detrimental to those of us who don’t want that.
