I mean up until now this was the first 278 Ive seen in vault just been wearing normal tier and a 272 changed one then got my first heroic drop on shoulders…Im not worried about it long as Im raiding so I cant relate.
Can’t really complain about tier RNG if u dont raid… i still haven’t gotten 1 piece of tier from M+ vault. I’ve had to do all raid modes every week for about 3 weeks at start of tier to get 5 piece.
This is incredibly stupid, one of the stupider things I’ve ever seen someone say.
You’re actually passing up something like a 40% dps increase cause you don’t want to have it at 272 instead of 278? LolWUT???

And again, depending on your class, the tier pieces could be more valuable that the pure stats of the higher i-level pieces. Yes, it kinda sucks I won’t argue, but tier set bonuses often transcend higher item level items.
Please tell me that you don’t equip higher i-level rings with crap stats instead of lower i-level rings with your BiS stats because “muh i-level”…
And you don’t have to anymore. Just start converting those 262 or higher pieces you have to tier week by week. Waiting 4 weeks for full tier isn’t bad considering I know raiders that ran at least 2 difficulties every week plus m+ and didn’t even have four set until the catalyst converter came along.
Personal opinion here, but with the attitude you’ve shown in this thread, that can only be a blessing for the LFG community at large.

Don’t complain about a system that wasn’t made with your personal limiting choices in mind.
With the armor you’re currently wearing + the creation catalyst you could have your 2 pc in just a few minutes. It makes 0 sense to save the CC charges.

Willingly choosing to not convert your existing gear into tier because the ilevel isn’t adequate for your approval seems like a you problem.

If you’re not getting the tier through the usual means, intentionally skipping the Catalyst is just silly. Regardless of the iLvl aren’t most tier bonuses worth it?
Don’t do yourself a disservice and then complain about yourself.

I thought the same thing. There was a reason all the World Firsters were spamming every level of the Raid. Getting set Bonus’ trumps iLevel by a huge margin.
As a Tank the OP could have easily been spamming Normal Sepulcher PuG’s even with his distaste for the content to just get a set faster.
Geez, OP. You’re problem solving and critical thinking skills are abysmal. Complains he has no tier, refuses to use the catalyst to make tier, then rage quits cause he has no tier. Lol like bro, you have the ability to solve your own problem, you’re just to pigheaded to do it.

Raiding is unfun dead content to me. I don’t touch content purely because it’s mandatory. Blizzard burned that bridge in 9.0 with Torghast. My limit with people is with mythics.
My beef is that they have put raiding ahead of mythic+, despite it being unfun dead content to some of us. Some of us will not touch raiding with a 10 foot pole even if the loot in it is op. I will do thirty or more 15+s in a week, but now since gear upgrades have gone to a standstill (262 upgrade cap) and it’s now the second week in a row with the vault trolling (prior week 3 waists, this week 1 waist and 2 dupes), that I’ve pretty much given up. Basically highly visible unequal reward for the amount of effort put in by two different kinds of people.
In addition, I want to run m+ more as well, but zero forward progress w/ doubled up timegate (CC then vault) is killing it, especially when I see people running around 5 or 6 ilvls higher with less time sunk into the game, because they like a different game mode instead.
That’s cool and all the others are having a better time or haven’t felt like they’ve been trolled. I’m posting to let Blizzard know what I think.
Since you don’t Raid I assume you haven’t experienced how gutted Raid drops are currently. I have two primary toons and one just got their first Tier drop in the Raid this week and has gotten ZERO Tier from the Vault even with multiple slots in the Raid and M+ sections.
The only advantage is more opportunities which was the point I was making. The more you do the faster you progress. Someone who just Raid logs or someone who just runs M+ will be behind someone who does both.
