Still getting duplicate items on rolls

my concern is that its just been fixed going forward

It was fixed on a go-forward basis. Only rolls since the fix will eliminate pieces from the table.

Bonus Roll Bug Fix

With hotfixes that began rolling out a couple of hours ago and are now applicable in all instances, we’ve preliminarily addressed a bug in 12.0.5 where rolling on loot did not remove the received item from the pool for subsequent Bonus Rolls, which made it possible for players to receive the same item from a Bonus Roll. They’re working on compensating people who had rolls wasted due to the bug.
