Imagine being this mad about wow lore tho…
It depends on how one interprets being mad, passionate about WoW? Yes
There was a earlier time when WoW wouldn’t have much story and lore; if one wanted to know it, just read the new books by Richard Knaak and Christie Golden when as an MMORPG it should be in the game, but early Warcraft RTS wrote better
But now, the story/lore team isn’t even trying anymore, and getting paid to do it
I often compare Blizzard Entertainment to Hollywood where Braveheart, Gladiator, and Titanic were the era of classic, and now with modern films like The Joker and The Batman, which are just a 2 hour reality TV series about 1 character becoming the Joker or Batman acting like a squirrel and chasing a ball of yarn around
The film 1917 got best picture for the year 2019 and it’s just a 2 hour flick about 2 soldiers doing stuff for a few hours, where the one soldier will complain about hunger and feeling famished throughout the film, the two stumble upon an abandoned farm with a cow, and instead of butchering the cow to satiate their hunger, the scene just turns into this brainless thing where a soldier comes under immediate duress and needs attention and help from his fellow comrade for aid
World of Warcraft has equally become this Jo Jo Rabbit thing where it’s 2 hours of a kid not having it in him to kill a rabbit, gets teased by his friends, then has an Adolf Hitler split persona that he talks to for 2 hours
Nothing happens in Gravity with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney unless one sees it in IMAX to give out the feeling of floating around in outer space, but sure enough when the credits roll, the crowd goes wild
3 Billboards stopped short at the end; we’ll find out when we get there
Scream 5 never admitted to who the killer was, only that your the killer, I’m the killer, we’re all the killer
“WTF is this?!” - Seann William Scott playing WoW: Shadowlands
