The premise and ideas are sound. Having not played it, I can’t say whether if the content is worthwhile.

Ideas change and there’s good ways people can contribute to a Classic+ direction. They (Turtle) like Retail WoW are likely trying to make ideas they think will work while taking in suggestions that are being conveyed.

Among such a large following, no application is ever going to be perfect for someone.

As someone currently playing Turtle, I’m having far more fun playing turtle than I have ever while playing DF currently and far more fun than while playing wrath classic.

I had fun playing on Duskhaven and playing a DH in classic. The quest chain was so damn amazing. Too bad it was a pve server and its being remade.

Really the biggest problem WoW Vanilla Era has are these.

Gear past item level 65 is way too strong, and gear would need to be nerfed down; basically all loot after BWL needs its item level cut down to like level 62 or 63 because that gear is hyper optimized.

Further:

Attack Power (the stat not your character sheet) Is over tuned and needs a 50% nerf.

Spell Damage and Healing (the stat) Needs the healing component deleted and the remaining damage stat cut by 50%

Spell Healing (the stat) needs to be cut by 75%

And warrior Rage needs to be no longer based on damage done but simply a result of doing damage so that warriors no longer effectively have zero resource burden after a certain gear level, but instead need to manage their rage wisely. Doing so would nerf them hard for PvE DPS and would be neutral in PvP. overall this would be a massive buff to every other DPS in game.

Naturally this will never happen because Blizzard only cares about the coiners who buy gear from the botters that are making them tons of money in subs and artificially making the MAU look good.

one of the 2 biggest problems.

1. There is no pvp weapons for people who do not enjoy raiding such as rogue…

2. The people who look down on people that only want to pvp

Yeah, if you’re playing sword builds there aren’t any good options. This is a big problem for all melee sadly.

The gear is hyper optimized because Blizzard was learning as they went. They were seeing what stats performed best for what specs. Theres a reason why Shaman/Paladins dead sprint to T2.5 as fast as they can.

AP is inferior to Str/Agi, flat out, as it does not scale off talents or abilities at all. Its a flat rate. 60 raw AP worth of Str/Agi is always going to be worth more than a piece of gear giving 60 AP. Especially if you’re Alliance due to Kings.

Congrats, you just killed every caster spec in existence with the second half of that statement. The first half is just what they did for TBC.

This change accomplishes nothing except pidgeonholing warriors into the fastest possible weapons they can get their hands on. Congrats, you just made Mirah’s Song permabis for Prot and Fury. You also just permanently killed warrior damage and threat scaling, which effectively kills Fury as a Spec and kneecaps everything to do with Prot that isnt a max mitigation set. But then, that was the idea wasnt it?
