Status effects carrying over into Spirit of Redemption form

Status effects that prevent casting, like counter spell, carry over after dying and going into spirit form. For example, if I am improved counter spelled right before dying, my spirit form is unable to cast until the counter spell effect ends. Is this expected?

As far as I am aware dying doesn’t reset any cooldowns. As abilities like Imp Counterspell, Kick, and the like cause the abilities to go on cooldown this is, unfortunately, annoying but very normal behaviour.

Death should be wiping all buffs/debuffs from you.

As a side note spirits (when your dead) cant cast anything. Was this possibly a ui/addon issue showing you have been debuffed.

Are you still unable to cast upon rezzing?

Give them an actual bug report to work from.

If you mean Spirit of Redemption Talent

Requires Priest (Holy)

Upon death, the priest becomes the Spirit of Redemption for 10 sec. The Spirit of Redemption cannot move, attack, be attacked or targeted by any spells or effects. While in this form the priest can cast any healing spell free of cost. When the effect ends, the priest dies.

Then no - all of those debuffs should be removed as if you died

Thank you Galdin. I do mean when using the Spirit of Redemption Talent
