State of the World of Warcraft

They should only have the current xpac zones available

It’s not fair for players who played during those xpacs to just let other people show up and earn all the rewards and take away the sense of accomplishment and prestige

You are consistently negative. Why do you even play this game?

When have I ever been negative

Making them perfect body dumping grounds. Let’s not unearth anything we don’t need to deal with right now.

You are not, but I think the ship has sailed as far as changing their formula.

WoW is not a living breathing world like how MMOs were idealized as in the early 2000s

Instead of expanding in preexisting content they expanded in the sense of adding a few new islands or zones as content. For the most part that’s okay. If the story had stayed in Azeroth on the main continents we may have gotten an entirely different kind of narrative.

Personally I wish we still got quest hubs that were centric to specific factions and races in the Alliance and Horde, not just whatever new ally we are spending time with at the moment.

Then you will love this video by Bellular on WoW player revamp: Bellular on the new player revamp It looks good, in planning, at least.

It would be nice if they had a chromie time that changed the entire world, not just a zone.

So if you want pre-cataclysm, you’d get a ‘buff’ that put you in that version, etc. so you know what time you’re in, unlike the current confusion of ‘did I do zidormi, did I not’?

Of course, they’ll never do that because then you’d have players even more apart than now, but this way, they could have the ‘current’ world, all of it, and encompass it with changes and quests without upsetting folks who are fond of things being a certain way.

I still miss the old Barrens, myself, and the Raceway.

Some day we’ll have all this in a portal room. Eventually the multiverse will come to wow and we’ll be able to move between time much better. It’ll also make room for multiple different versions of retail to co-exist.

They can’t even rebuild Silvermoon without having to “share” it with the Alliance. That’s how little content they have managed to create in Midnight apparently.

Ever since the MS merger, it’s been cost cutting after cost cutting.

You can forget about a world wide update IMHO.
