They better rot in hell. They don’t deserve a redemption of any kind.
I’m not a fan of Golden and Danuser myself but relax
Like I never understood why people give him flak for that. Sure, it was not a nice to say, but the orcs just killed his master/mentor Lothar and Turaylon just wanted a justification to be able to fight with impunity and finally end a threat.
Not to mention he did stop himself, and he is the reason the orcs were allowed to be capture/not immediately executed.
Turalyon killed one of the great Orc heroes and ended the Second War in the Alliance’s favor, you think they wouldn’t?
Personally i’m all for the scarlets to come back as antagonists, nice neutral enemies that actually have a reason to fight the horde and alliance are kinda what the game needs
With the latesting update being the graveyard being green it could mean that the Scarlets are coming back.
I think if the Crusade is going to be resurgent, they need to go hard against the Worgen. They have a very clear-cut reason for being anti-Horde, but their anti-Alliance motivation has always been rooted in a paranoid delusion induced by secret Dreadlord leaders.
The latter motivation was pretty weak to begin with and has only gotten weaker as those leaders have been exposed.
Narratively speaking, Blizzard either needs to align them with the Alliance OR give them a much better reason to fight the Alliance. Being hardcore anti-Worgen fits the bill nicely, reflects their existing puritanical values and plays well into that conspiracy pamphlet.
The greenery around the Scarlet Monastery is curious. It makes me think a few things :
The Scarlet Crusade has grown in power since BfA and the Shadowlands, where they have been out of the picture/left alone. They have even been able to heal their land and clear out the Blight.
Or
It will be on our side somehow. Maybe the more moderate members want to expel the more violent and hard core members, and they want help.
I guess that could be one way to make Calia more accepted by Forsaken/Horde fans - if she leads a force to occupy the Scarlet Monastery. Get her hands dirty and bloody with a real fight, against an old foe. Maybe she even works with some that want to be more moderate, to force out the hard core ones, and open up the Cathedral to all.
I surley want him to kill for that. All of Azeroth would belong to the Horde by now if it wasn’t for him rallying their forces. Countless Orcs are currently growing up in dire poverty because of him. Some good old vengence seems to be in place soon.
I could totally see the Scarlets becoming more popular in Stormwind in the wake of the 4th War. There are probably quite a few who think that too many have died just to make peace with the horde once again, or also that Turalyon would support an organisation of Light zealots.
Meh, I’d rather see Lilian or even Velonara then instead of making it another Calia show. At least they have actual history with the Crusade.
However it could get interesting if they revisit the Pamphlets and the Crusade’s claim that they have the true heir of Lordaeron, Calia’s lost son- who was actually a daughter and maybe we could finally learn what became of her.
I mostly thought of Calia taking over the Monastery because she is a Priest. So her leading the take over would make narrative sense. It would also give Lilian good cause to be there fighting along side her.
I don’t mind Calia being there if it makes sense. She’s a priest. It’s a monastery.
And if her kid becomes a plot point, that seems the place for it to go down.
I sure hope Calia’s daughter will be a plot point. It was what kicked things off in the first place but now it seems everyone forgot about it, including herself lol
I would think that while we “champions” were gone in the Shadowlands and the Scourge was running loose, they may have helped restore some order. I could see that leading to some good will for them. getting some new recruits from the locals. A sort of “your government didn’t help you, we did” sort of thing. That is the only way i can see them adding to their numbers in any way.
They would have had to had to abandon their favorite hobby… hanging, torturing, killing whatever locals that ran into them.
As for the Good works, the Argents and the Ebon Blade have that covered.
