They want Turalyon dead for that?
Some people do, I imagine anyone who cried about Danath dropping “greenskin” would.
I interpreted it as an attack on Catholic tithing, like the Wowhead comments about the book claim.
Probably that too. The Scarlet Onslaught and Brotherhood seem like they’re just punching bags at this point… and this discussion has convinced me further.
Where would you like Turalyon’s story to go? I agree that seeing the Scarlet Onslaught become a force for good - especially if they meet Lightforged Draenei - would be a great idea. It would be a journey to redemption how they have to atone for their past and show deradicalization while not abandoning faith altogether, which you almost never see in stories.
Off the top of my head it might be cool to see elements of the Silver Hand realign themselves with the Alliance under Turalyon in the wake of the Fourth War. I think that might have already happened though.
Beyond that I really don’t know what to do with him, and I’ve been sitting here thinking on it. Huh.
I knew that, but it’s irrelevant to the Scarlet Onslaught so I didn’t bring it up. I was saying that maybe Blizzard should just stop using the Scarlet Crusade and their offshoots.
The Deathlord buried the Crusade. Let that be the end of it.
Glad to know you’re denying yours lmao
Do you for one milisecond believe dudes sitting in castles in Milan or the Holy Roman Empire gave two scratches of their own nuts if some peasants got stabbed? Their own men were doing that when they were bored.
The Crusades were over the same thing every single war has been about since one ape slapped another;
And if you havent sussed that out yet then I can’t help you.
Silence Orthodox. You are tolerated not accepted. Better than the heretics but just barely.
Do not think I’ve forgotten how your lunacy ignited the Crimean War. And you still lost to the godless French and… whatever it is the English keep doing. Satanic worship if their food is any evidence.
Point is;
Dont make us come back out there;
They did… several expacs ago. Wrath was their swan song.
Didn’t Turalyon fight the battle of Strongarde in the Fourth War against Liadrin?
Power and resources were two of the causes, but not the only ones, so I am not the one denying history here. And if your cynical interpretation was correct, the threat of Islamic invasion at the time still put the rulers in the line of fire too (who could face execution to facilitate such a transfer of power).
Where is Whitemane now? Is she even still a theocrat?
They always are.
Tell me of your heritage Thadeus. Are you of the True Faith? I’m curious.
Because I’m a weird Austro-Prussian-Sicilian-Venician Soup.
And I do apologize for my Prussian cousins rebellion. But well ya mix German Precision with Polish Audacity and you get a people decidedly not okay with obeying orders. Until they were. That one time. And just look how it turned out.
Still will never stop being funny to me how they completely juked both the children of the Vikings and Frankish barbarians though;
Whitemane turned from that path when she became a Death Knight.
And I don’t do that kind of collective guilt/collective responsibility.
Interesting that’s your interpretation of that request.
Sight unseen I’ll presume WASP. Because yeah I’d feel like crap too if my bloodlines legacy was looting and pillaging the wealth and treasure of mankind.
Not that we didn’t have a hand in it too. Whole shark death camp in East Africa over it. But frankly;
Could be worse. Could be Belgian.
Trying to bait me into revealing my heritage to try and use that history against me? What if I’m not white? Do I apologize for my black ancestors in West Africa enslaving other black people from other tribes there? And you know the saying about assumption, right?
Every civilization and religion (the non-religious too for the latter) has pillaging and looting in their history. And it’s not limited by skin colors either, including those of mixed ancestry.
I’m asking you a question because I believe heritage and faith is important.
I’m not a spiritual man. I take after my distant Roman ancestors. I figure we ought to just honor all deities and all traditions for surely if the author(s) of creation are just then they will reward a just life. And if not, then they are not just, and we should Kratos the mfers.
But I honor my Catholic tradition because it is my heritage and I honor that belief structure. It is said that sin is a curse of bloodline. And while I celebrate my forebearers who stood up and died standing in the face of Hitler’s madness, many yet collaborated or worse actively participated.
Such is the fetid mark on my blood lineage. But in the tradition of my family I will strive to lead by examples and free my foolish ancestors from eternal perdition through a just life.
What of yours?
While I don’t oppose your interest in heritage and have a similar interest for mine, this thread is about the Scarlet Onslaught.
