Yeah I mean it took maybe an hour and a half to finish BG3 it is not that long of a diversion.

Ugh Covid excuse. There were more people doing content in BFA compared to Shadowlands and even more in Legion, it’s been on a downward spiral.

The denial here is sad but whatever.

I was playing my healer, but now switched to dps for the time being. I still see lots of groups.

Also lots of people for group quests too.

No it’s just a fact more people in general we’re playing during that time. Don’t have to take my word for it.

I hope you’re actually following the way I think you are.
Legion → BfA (increase on launch) → Schism during launch of classic-> Combined classic + retail logs better than ever → steady in SL → Big WoTLK uptake → expected drop since DF launch

I’m talking about WoW not the gaming industry as a whole. It’s common sense more people played during covid. but shadowlands still had less people playing than BFA and Legion. Shadowlands also had way more people doing endgame content than DF even did S1. Shadowlands did its damage. You denying that?

Game is deader than it’s ever been in any phase. But soccer moms are buying up tendie bundles like hotcakes so the quarterly report should be fine.

Idk how people rank soft, mid-, hardcore; and I’m content being low on the totem pole. But I still heavily relate to your post. The recent additions haven’t appealed to me at all. I don’t need 2 flightstones, catchup gear for alts I don’t play, and MoP greys from the time boxes (legit got a low poly grey from the time box). Even as someone who likes cosmetics, I can’t bring myself to slog through Zaralek just for a 3rd recolor of a set I got from story and AH.

How could it get old in 2004 when WoW didn’t hit it’s peak until 2011, also he said pretty dead, not dead.

Population has definitely died down, one look at check-pvp would prove that instantly, the queues for epic and normal BGs are much higher outside of the normal 4 hour prime time, talking 20+ minutes for an epic at 1AM EST, which should still be in prime time.

Lol my guild is for personal storage. I don’t do public guilds. Yes, my server is low pop, but the population it does have is active. I always see people out and about wherever I go on the isles. Believe me or not that’s your problem.

You are seeing people from other servers, your server is dead which is why you are not in a guild with other people.

I have two months left on a six month sub, and I like to check in on what’s going on with the game and franchise I’ve been playing for over two decades. Sorry that’s too complicated for you to understand.

My main server is doing pretty well. I’m casual and have topped off my main and the next four alts (98% main and have been so in the past at some point). I’m working on some of toons/classes I don’t play much right now. Might pick up some with the new stuff that is due out. I just hope it is better & more long lasting than the most recent (we just need to seal up those cavern entrances, nobody’s in there to be trapped anyway).

What a terrible analogy, indicating it actually is too complicated and difficult for you to understand. I play the game off and on, not as much as I used to BC - MoP. I’m not that into DF. Doesn’t mean I need to forsake the whole franchise.

You do realize a lot of people have their own Personal Guilds simply for storage and not wanting to deal with drama. My server alternates between medium and high pop. My Guild is just me and my 12 alts because that’s how I want it.
