State of Mistweaver PVP - Shadowlands (Week 1)

I’m waiting to build the Transcendence legendary (today!) before I subject myself to this pain.

At least let me run away twice before you global me.

The vivify empowerment lasts the whole 10 seconds, and on my WW they were hitting for about 6k each, which is completely nuts! That and you can also port back

I wonder if the vivify empowerment works on targets who have renewing mist too (If you empowered cast vivify on you, does the splash healing does bonus healing to those with renewing mist on).

Sigh. I’m already so far committed to Mistweaver in PvP…I have my first legendary crafted, macro’s/bind’s complete, in my guild’s RBG rotation. I really don’t want to change mains. I usually main a disc priest but MW is sooo much more fun. Rip.

EDIT: It’s sad people like the OP provide free information to Blizzard and they won’t even acknowledge this post. The detachment between Blizzard and us WoW players is unreal. This guy is literally hand feeding them free information about their own game and they don’t care.

You do know the Blizzard employee who created Monk’s left after they finished Shadowlands?

This is a video of him explaining his hand in creating Monk’s and why he is leaving - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iznL9e12iYI

Dually note there’s only a few people who work on balancing EVERY class. It’s not like each class has a single developer working on them.

Pretty much this.

The core team has already moved onto the development of the next expansion, while a skeleton crew adjusts the levers and turns the knobs for Shadowlands.

The only thing they know how to do for us at this stage is increase / lower stats. Nothing mechanically will change.

Yeah I don’t expect Blizzard would ever see or care about this feedback. I only wrote it because staying silent is worse

Just nit-picking here but Invoke Yulon is an incredibly strong PvE CD if used properly. Obviously it’s only pure throughput, and has no DR component (and is quite mana intensive) but the output you can get from it is insane. Just works better if you have a pocket innervate.

Yulon doesn’t do ANYTHING AT ALL in pvp, except sometimes eat traps. It just sits there doing nothing. It costs 5% of your mana and does less healing than the Fortifying Ingredients conduit that gives you a small shield for pressing fort brew. It is categorically bad in every single way.

For those of you thinking Yulon is useful in PvP, I encourage you to pop it in several 3v3 matches and look at the details breakdown. On average, even within 40 yards of my teamates, it is doing 800 total healing for me over the duration of the cooldown… 800. This leads me to believe it is just flat out not casting on teamates, not to mention there being no visual feedback that the pet is healing.

Invoke nothing for 2.5K mana on a 3 minute CD, does 1~2% in raids or does 0 - 1% in pvp. I guess that’s why we had to help the Celestials when SHA picked on them in pandaland.

Edit: i dont actually know what % it does in PVE, i summon yu’lon and i see nor feel any differences when watching raid frame. The tooltip does say *healing the target and up to 2 allies or I just don’t know how to utilize it properly

Anyway this is a PVP forum, I’m just venting

mw needs some major help in pvp

not like it is a small gap, unless a mw is in a group with other healers that can heal the mw - mw is just massively less effective if they aren’t being ignored

a mw has got to be able to last longer vs 2 dps - right now they are the worst at survivability by a longshot

and mana efficiency completely sucks compared to other healers

Thanks for bringing this up. Yulon is the first CD I pvp in Arenas and BGs when 3 or more people start taking damage. I never actually looked at how much healing it does, but I will be keeping an eye on it when I hop back on tonight and report back.

Yulon does nothing in arena. Literally nothing, like 1% of my healing (if it works at all). Thanks for that 3 minute cooldown.

To be fair, Yu’lon seems to be casting in raid for me, although the healing output seems weak for the cooldown duration (with the pets current HPS it should just be a pet you have out permanently).

For it bugging out in arena, it might have something to do with the programming not being able to deal with heal targets moving in and out of range and line of sight. In arena it just comes out and stands near you, never casting any breaths on teammates.

I’m overall super disappointed with the cooldown and it’s a prime example of blizz trying to put in something that looks cool on paper but works like garbage in game. They need to change how this cooldown works entirely as it’s an embarrassment of a 3 minute cd.

yulon has been bugged a lot so dont be surprised if he does nothing in many contexts.

now imagine how many seasons where disc priests have been unplayable, resto druids, hpals in the past…its your turn now, just own it

This is such an awful attitude, and people like you are the reason we can’t have legitimate constructive discussion on the forums.
