Prog’ing H PP last night truely shows how horrible this phase is going to be
I am all for supporting shaman on this but you guys need to get together and identify what actual change can be made that would address your issue but not be game breaking or require too much effort to implement. Something like giving your fire elemental a pet bar and the 90% mitigation to AE’s and effects seems a step in the right direction.
Perhaps add a 10% passive bonus to sta to your Shamanic Rage? Should add 2k or so hp.
Shaman is a girlfriend class. Its meant for healing. Stop trying to dps on it.
Meme / PVP spec.
Don’t play enhance in PVE post classic era.
I disagree. It’s actually one of the most fun rotations in the game and has an a very high skill cap to play at the top end.
You’re right, let’s balance blizz’s classes for them and post our collective findings in a big “dear blizzard” letter and we’ll all sign it together
My crappy suggestions:
Mobility / damage improvement:
- Fire Leash Trainable Enh Talent (5 minute buff) → Fire totem moves to Shaman on cast and travels with Shaman for remainder of buff / while totem is up
- Fire Launcher Trainable Ele Talent → launch flame totem (breaks Fire Leash)
- Fele charges to last target hit by flame shock
Survivability improvement:
4. Improved shields talent reduces PVE damage taken by shaman by 3-5% for each point in talent while shield is active (whatever makes sense to bring effective HP up to other classes).
QoL Improvement:
5. Remove imp Wind Fury totem talent, make WF totem default 20%, increase range of friendly totems to 50 yards (imp icy talons is 100 yards).
Feral gets a passive 30% reduction to all AOE dmg. I don’t see why Enhance can’t have that attached to Shamansitic rage as a passive that doesn’t work for PVP. It would give enhance an effective HP of 26k-27k, still putting them 3-5k behind any other melee class.
Now here is an idea that can work. Put this on a major glyph, Shamanistic rage grants 30% reduction to AOE dmg. That is something that should be doable without too much effort and not be game breaking.
Most of this goes beyond asking for small improvements. You are asking for talent changes and complete rewrites of abilities.
This comment shows you know 0 about enhancement. Shamanistic rage reduces 30% damage to… ANY AND ALL damage, including aoe. LOL. It doesn’t need a glyph, please go troll elsewhere.
Shamanistic rage… already reduces… all damage… by 30%… i cannot… put enough dots in here… y’all are very out of touch with enh shaman.
My guild no longer takes enhance because its falling so far behind. Now turning to playing a DK.
Well good thing blizz thought making enhance 2set to convert our one awful defensive into an offensive cd.
First is already reduced all damage by 30%, so that glyph does squat. Second, we need passive defensives in play at all times or an hp buff.
You are completely right, I know nothing of shamans. I was not attempting to troll but rather trying to support your cause. You have however changed my mind on this. Shaman can go cry elsewhere, stay bottom of the pack and dead on the floor. It does not bother me either way.
When you say passive defenses needed, was this always an issue or just mainly now in ICC? I know right now my Druid and Hunter are getting railed due to the dodge debuff. Is that the same issue with shaman?
Yeah my rock biter enh sham tank with 25k full buffs really took a hit the day the dodge nerf came out
It’s been an issue since Vanilla. There is a reason why enhance is considered the floor spec.
If you’re a decent shaman, you’d use it every minute and enjoy the 12% damage increase buff it gives now with current tier. Not wait for a moment where you might take extra damage.
