idk what the problem is. Some specs are viable for pvp, some are viable for pve. The only issue is getting dual spec.
- Can stealth
- Can heal
- Can root
- Bear form for massive armor boost
- Immune to slows, snares and polymorph

This sounds liek a PvP complaint, because that utility does zero in PvE.

Give boomkins, mages, and priests cast times on these huge abilities. The instant cast spamability is the problem.
Warlocks have a god damn 2.5 second cast on chaos bolt with a 12 second cooldown!!
This right here is exactly why Im debating only Raiding in SoD and nothing elseā¦ these Devs although very thoughtful on how they add new content are absolutely awful at PvP Balance.

Starsurge isnāt overtuned, people just think Druids should never do anything but heal, so having ONE ability that does damage isnāt allowed.

on topic the hyperbole of starsurge is all druid has cant nerf it is ridiculous. it doesnāt need to be an instant cast burst button. it can be a dot. it can be a debuff vs starfire and wrath. its such lazy implementation right now.
it can easily be changed to greatly increase overall damage without ruining pvp.
Plenty of people have come up with ideas in all the other starsurge threads. Plus what are you even talking about fixing Boomkin? They are one of the top DPS PVE specs and the top PvP spec. They have long been fixed back in P1, they just needed their damage talents.
Here an idea, lower Surge damage, add a buff you gain that makes your next wrath or Starfire do a little more damage and itās fine. The issue is an instant ability getting 100% spell COE, thatās just insane.
This is a braindead take
Balance talents are hot garbage. The reason theyāre ā#1ā in PvE is because Eclipse is bugged and giving Starsurge a 60% crit chance instead of the 30% itās supposed to get.
Makes sense why nearly every SS crits in PvP x.x, itās still better than all of that damage being frontloaded on such a short CD spell. It needs to be moved into other spells.
how is it a bug when starsurge lists wrath and starfire as skills it counts as?

Because Eclipse doesnāt buff Starfire crit. It only buffs its cast time. They hotfixed Eclipse to buff Starfire cast time instead but I think they forgot to change Starsurge. lol

Theyāre currently performing very well in early Gnomeregan, but as I have said, itās likely due to a bug with Starsurge and Eclipse. You guys have to keep in mind that Starsurge critting has a snowball effect to the rest of the rotation because crits proc Natureās Grace which leads to fast crits which proc more Eclipse
