Stacking Name Plates and Camera Position

Players, feel free to ignore me venting. It’s obnoxious enough that I had to say it.

Using full Fov, using minimum fov, stacking nameplates don’t stack unless I have my camera on the ground. Counter productive because it makes it nearly impossible to see the fire on the ground properly… Can we fix that?
It happens on my big 62 inch tv, it happens on my laptop screen, it happens at all resolutions and FOV settings.

This has been a problem for like…ten years. Can we finally fix this?
And can we fix the bug where we keep equipping our crafting gear every time we log in?
I already submitted reports and such, but I still had to complain.
They are better than this. I expect better.

There are a lot of name plate add-ons you can use to fine-tune how nameplate look on your screen. The most popular seems to be plater and then to copy a profile string from wagio.

Maybe your name plates are too large and you should make them small so you can see the floor better.

Seconding plater usage here. You get a lot more control over size and positioning.

Plater has the same problem because its just the game. You can’t fix bad game ui design from the outside.

yeah, but…

did you think I didn’t check other settings? Weird to assume people are dumb.

And an addon shouldn’t be the solution, we should be able to talk to the developers or a liason who actually takes our feedback and does something with it. We need to stop depending on third party solutions, and stop letting blizzard slide off on actually fixing their own games.

However, thank you for the suggestions of mods. It is appreciated. It just isn’t the solution, it’s a bandaid at best.

This is exactly the purpose of add-ons.

Seems like you have a predetermined opinion about add-ons and you’re not interested in actually solving your problem.

Good luck with that.

Biggest issue is that there a huge number of players doing a very wide variety of content.
I definitely agree that your problem sounds frustrating but you’re going to quickly lose support when you’re saying this:

I’d totally understand you saying that to someone saying something condescending or demeaning but they were super chill.

And so was I. Stop being a victimizer. Nobody was attacked. Nobody was mad. I pointed out that it was rude. Move on, grow up. something. Anything other than writing nonsense about something we all already knew.

Have a good one though. I just had to complain in my op. Deuces.

Meh, another upset baby who don’t want solutions. Keep whining about how bad Blizzard is, I’m sure that’ll help you.
