Literally just saw a hunter use spyglass in a blitz on one of my stealthed toons. When is blizz going to break this item so it doesn’t work on stealth anymore?! Shouldn’t even be able to use it in rated. But apparently this person did.

never, the enitre point of its existence is to find stealthies.
no you shouldn’t, i wonder if its related to not being able to use flasks in unrated, something causing maps to get categorized wrong or something.

I can’t name names obviously. But they for sure were using it. I hope it gets fixed soon. So many bugs this expansion. It’s like quality control teams don’t exist any more.
Are you completely sure he didn’t grab the stealth detection buff?

Spyglass doesn’t work in blitz, something else happened. Also I keybound the spyglass because rogues are cowards and should fear me. Nothing makes a rogue wet his pants faster than that red arrow appearing over his head.

How is that incorrect? That’s all the item does. I use it to great effect all the time because I can use it while camouflaged. It completely turns the tables on rogues and they tend to just run away, on account of them being natural born cowards.

Item isn’t intended for that purpose, it’s a quest item meant for a quest.
its not, its just that i said it. if i were to use my hearthstone she would call it cheating.
Eh, sometimes they travel in packs. As a rogue alt, the spyeye glass needs a long cool down or not work in instanced pvp. There’s a few other hunters ally side spamming that toy.

It’s just a flavorful toy item really. It’s one of those “toy but not a toy” items that take up bag space. If it were truly a quest item it would’ve been designated as such and would’ve had a zone restriction.

I’m not trolling, it’s a legitimate question. The fact is, it isn’t designated as a quest item. Quest items are labeled as such and are provided for a quest. Sp-eye-glass is found in a chest. It’s a flavorful item, not a quest item.

Does that change the fact that it’s being used for something it’s not intended to be used for? No, it doesn’t.
Also, this is untrue there has been plenty of things that aren’t labeled for a quest but are needed for it.
Orb of Revelation was a real quest item that could be used to give players a Spectral Sight and see stealthed players. It’s intended purpose was to see demons inside the Venthyr covenant hall as part of Chains of Domination questline. It wasn’t intended to be used outside nor to see stealthed players and was therefore fixed, relatively fast too despite not many knowing about it (in Dragonflight).
Sp-eye-glass has already went through a hotfix to not be usable in rated PvP in Shadowlands. If it wasn’t intended to be used to see stealth players at all, they would’ve fixed it in one swift move. 
Sp-eye-glass is a flavorful item, not a quest item.
