Haranir, like in the midnight arbook explained, would be night elves who changed after going to harandar
- This make more sene since elves turn into different elves and we have many examples of that
- They look nothing like trolls, but like night elves with harandar animals trait
I dunno why they went with the most obvious and right path with the artbook but retconed/changed in the game, want to know whow as the dumb@ss who decided they should akshually be the best race of all warcraft oh my godsies and like, they were the oldest and stuff so amazing

What I mean is Dark trolls into Haranir which become Night Elves. I think that would make more sense.
That’s what literally everyone and teir dog thought during TWW because that’s what made sense to every sane person.
This feels like spite to me. Like I refuse to believe anyone saw the haranir design and went “Ah yes, the precursor.” They just wanted to subvert for its own sake.
