The metal locks are pretty much the only thing worth using.
And with each patch it seems more and more likely that humans are the only race getting new faces, which is sad since so many races badly need new ones. I’d trade a lot of these customization options for a few handsome faces for orcs, nightborne and night elves
Can they change the Stable Interface then? Because finding a specific pet using the current system can be a bit maddening if you don’t cull your collection at regular intervals.
Bastion looks so ridiculously bad for DPS it’s kind of painful.
I can’t go with them because it’s utterly useless compared to Maldraxxus or Revendreth.
It might be okay for wPvP, but it’s so focused on buffing self healing/healing others I just can’t without screwing myself over in raid. The heal utility might be okay in M+ running a disc priest but, like, just taking anything that offers both better utility and damage is a no brainer.
Aurgh.
I’m just hoping.
It’s already the one with the least amount of interest on alpha, and this isn’t helping.
Anyone who does M+ and doesn’t pick Venthyr is sorely at a disadvantage. Heck, I’d argue Venthyr’s everything from its soulbinds to its (base) ability is far too powerful in all types of content.
I fully expect that, if things go live the way they are now, I will be struggling to find any groups that will take me and my Necrolord behind.
Expansion has great potential RP wise with the character customization, but actual gameplay looks dicey.
I am so glad they paired Shaw with Flynn and not Valeera. As much as I don’t mind having Human/Elf pairings I am tired of it being a male Human with a female Thalassian elf. Change it up at least.
Also, I am very confused on why people are acting like this is out of left field… Did no one pay attention during the War Campaign? Flynn and Shaw were bantering back and forth and had great chemistry.
I know someone will say what about Flynn liking Taelia!? Yes, he clearly did. However, Taelia clearly didn’t feel the same way towards him. It is also very obvious Blizzard plans to have her and Anduin get together… Although my personal theory is she will become the first official Lich Queen in Shadowlands. Following in her dad’s footsteps.
I give Blizzard a lot of crap, and they honestly deserve a lot of it, and I still am not convinced this story is going to be any good (it will depend on how free the author is to do the actual writing).
All that said this deserves credit, I love them as a couple and I love that it is canonical.
They have also now confirmed gay marriage between troll females from Shadow’s Rising as well! It only took 500 years, but I’m glad we’re starting to see more representation.
This might be bias on my part because I love big dumb royal family trees, but I always wanted Anduin to be straight so that he could continue House Wrynn. Never liked Wranduin solely on that basis xD
With that in mind I ship Taelia and Anduin, and am lowkey glad that Flynn is no longer a competing factor there.
So yeah thrilled about this one for multiple reasons. Representation for significant characters, and Anduin is free to engage in dumb royal family tree continuation things.
Edit: Also glad it’s not Anduin and Tess. Not gonna lie, I feared that one. An attempt to merge Gilneas and Stormwind or something… not a fan of Gilneas becoming “Stormwind North”
Honestly I am hoping for the opposite. I want Anduin to die, or be forgotten in the Shadowlands so we never have to see him again. I hate the Wrynn family because the Alliance, since Cata has basically just been the “Wrynn and friends” faction. I am tired of it. Get rid of this family and make the Alliance interesting.
Also AGREED on Anduin and Tess. I have already stated my opinion several times on how mad I am Blizzard seems to be trying to just get rid of Worgen/Gilnean culture and assimilate them into Stormwind to just be Furry Storwmind Humans. So having Anduin and Tess marry would only further that.
Totally get that. For this reason I think the High King idea is crazy. I like how the Alliance of Lordaeron did it - all the kings were convinced Terenas was pushing for personal power and so he couldn’t lead the Alliance. Instead, they appointed a Supreme Military Commander. Anduin Lothar. He reported to ALL of the Kings, but effectively they still controlled the day to day operations of their own nations whereas he controlled the combined Alliance army.
100% better idea. Appoint a supreme leader FOR THE COMBINED ARMY. Hell Turalyon actually HELD that position for a brief time in the Second War, following Lothar’s death - I wouldn’t even be mad if it was him. Then each individual Alliance nation largely manages its own affairs, including their own army (the entire force did not need to be contributed to the “Alliance” war effort.) Because I 100% agree that we need more representation of the individual races.
I DISAGREE that Anduin needs to die, but that’s because as a character and as a person I’ve loved Anduin since Cata, I’ve seen him grow… and he’s one of my favourites. I love Anduin to bits. I feel him suddenly dying would cheapen years of development and be outright depressing.
That said I have disliked the fact that he inherited the position of High King from the beginning. I could see Varian maybe earning it, but not Anduin. That’s not an Alliance at that point, it’s an empire with semi-autonomous subdivisions, like the Holy Roman Empire in the medieval age. That’s not what I signed up for. The Alliance should be just that - an alliance between several independent nations, working together as equals.
So my two cents? Kill Anduin? No. Reduce his powers? Please.
Too be honest I agree with everything here, and frankly don’t want Anduin to die because he is a good character who actually has admirable values. The issue is I don’t see Blizzard ever “dethroning” him from High King and so the only way to get rid of his power is if he dies.
I wouldn’t mind Anduin if he was JUST King of Stormwind. That way the Alliance goes to war and he is pushing for peaceful ways to end the war while other leaders want to punish the Horde for what they did. That makes for a much more compelling story, but NOOOOO instead we get High King Anduin where everyone bows to his whims and are written as either boot lickers to Anduin or just straight up incompetent to fit his world views.
That’s why I hate Anduin, they have to go out of their way to write Alliance characters ooc or in unrealistic ways to make them align with Anduin and his naivety.
I also hate that he basically was just a complete idiot the entirety of BfA. No plan for Blight in Undercity. Doesn’t just kill Sylvanas instead monologues and almost gets all the leaders killed. Loses many of the Alliance troops there.
Then instead of helping Tyrande in Darkshore (which makes more sense because they then have a straight path to Org while the Horde forces are away in Zandalar) Anduin is like “wE doN’t HavE enOuGh tRooPs”.
But then turns around and sends a suicide squad of troops (which had Night Elves in it!) as a distraction so the Alliance could siege Dazar’alor, despite it making no sense once they blew up the Zandalari ships. Then once the battle was a success and the Alliance could end the war Anduin was like, “No, doing that would make us no better than Sylvanas.” Really??? Really Anduin?? Lord he is such an idiot.
He cares more about the Horde than the Alliance it feels. There really is nothing to like about Anduin as High King because the story is nonsensical with him there and other characters follow him just because.
Yeah sounds like our main difference is how we direct our mutual hatred of the High King role xD
I’m HOPING that the internal divisions within the Alliance lead to the High King role being abolished. I’m a dumb optimist though so I may be hoping for too much there xD
If it’s any consolation, if I put effort into PVE in SLs I’ll be taking on whoever. So I’ll gladly do Mythic+ with ya come SL. I’ll just have to get my Horde main up to par for said content.
