No he wants to destroy reality in order to remake it where everyone bows down to him. Destroying reality as some kind of reality-level suicide would be slightly more interesting.

This cinematic has cemented my opinion that the game’s writing is largely being handled by top brass who are lore figure nerds that have dunning-kruger when it comes to game writing.
Admittedly video game writing (and especially MMO writing) is very difficult. But this is pretty bad.

I’m just baffled that it’s literally trending in the direction that people were jokingly predicting several years ago.
Like … surely they saw that feedback, right? Why would they decide to pull things in a direction so predictable it’s hackneyed, even for the sort of pulpy, comic book-esque story they’re trying to tell?

It absolutely has, but I don’t think that’s the problem with the current stuff.
I think the issue is that, while being the same saturday morning cartoon guff it always has been, it takes itself a little too seriously.
If they just let loose and had fun with it, I wouldn’t mind one bit. But there’s this constant attempt to add gravitas to the whole thing that just falls flat on its face.
I’m just convinced now at this stage that the writers for Sylvanas or whoever is directing the story has zero clue what they want Sylvanas to actually be now.

He’s far more interesting as a bad guy than the jailer is.
Sylvanas saying “she will never serve” is a weird one, given that that is exactly what she’s been doing the entire time, and she’s absolutely smart enough to be aware of this.
What makes me curious is the orb that he takes from the arbiter. Am I to assume that being an arbiter was his role at some point prior?

Why I am not ranting. Even my 207 hunter ran my legion trial runs well on BM hunter. Gul’dan shut me down but not to the worm DPS issue (that needs higer ilevel burst I read). I die like a muppet to the wind thing he does to knock me off the platform.
It was late so after 2/3 deaths I said its bed time. I can get to him…good start. Now its work out some of those mechanics mythic throws in.
Get my DH up to 207+…and away we go on at least EN and nighthold spam. Even if no Gul’dan clear…NIghthold holds many treasures for me all the same.
Lock too maybe. I like her more that I play her. NOrmal at first, all she’ll need for balance of power. She is only 195 ish still.
Back to the last expac I recall liking has me happy. Good except for the crap AR side selection stories at the end. And i blame that on BFA…

There’s just too much garbage to tolerate when nothing is being writen right, no justice, only edgy and dumbed down characters for plot. It’s not even a garrosh 2.0 since she didnt die in fact she’s about to face an eternity in some prison on the shadowlands while garrosh literally is gone from existance I would have paid money to see garrosh and her again face to face after what he told her during the cata questline.
And all started since BFA azshara/nzoth rush and then they made tyrande choke an undead character and now it’s “ooopppsieeee, it was my bad side I’m sorry! forgive me!” nah, I don’t understand how with so many resources writers decide to take this direction anymore, I don’t understand it.
So I dont follow the story super closely, what was the first item he gained? I assume it was all the sigils put together? and what did he give back to Sylvanas? Sorry if these are noob questions.
