[SPOILERS] Midnight Alpha/Beta thread

Varok Saurfang was the leader of the Orcs.

I was mixing it up(the Horde keeps having mad warchief it is hard to keep track). Etrigg was the defacto head of the orcs during Sylvanas reign and after Saurfang was captured.

Saurfang was still the leader of the Orcs. Eitrigg was basically on the boat where we choose things for our table.

Like he was the defacto leader in Ogrimmar for the orcs when Saurfang went on his rebellion.

He’s a commander not, the leader of the Orcs.

Deatholme is occupied by the Twilight’s Hammer now. Well, Twilight’s Blade as they’ve renamed themselves.

It can certainly detract from character motivations, because since Shadowlands, the cosmic forces are beginning to operate like chaos in 40k. A small influence could be benign to start, but with time it slowly erodes the user of free-will and causes them to become more and more extreme. The “daemons” of each force are practically slaves to it.

The “Daemons” of Death have 5 varieties that are different from each other:

Ardenweald has no personality change, Bastion makes one aligned with one of the 5 Virtues, Revendreth makes one aligned with one of the 7 Sins, Maldraxxus makes one more Warlike and the Maw makes you either more like Zovaal or a Tormented Wreck.

Because of the amount of tragedy and corruption—Who wants to live next door to Deatholme ?—that whole corner seems to of just been abandoned to decay by Silvermoon leadership; Tranquillen is the edge of where well upkept roads and Blood Elven red buildings end and you get a lot of overgrown High Elven Blue ruins. It is also far darker and spookier than the rest of Quel’thalas, so It may of been the last region to begin healing.

Additionally, I think there is a book from Zerith Mortis where it is implied that, despite being powerful, no cosmic entity has true free will compared to “mortals”; that free will is the 7th force that keeps the others in check. I don’t remember SL that well, and perhaps for good reason.

The Book says no such thing!

There are of course 3 Books that mention 7 Forces and only mention that they each including the 7 seek to claim Mortal Souls born from the Nexus of all Cosmic Forces that is the Mortal Realm.

The 6 are one and the 7th is the other.

The 7th isn’t a variable to be solved but a solution awaiting it’s opportunity. Once the First Ones(Life, Death, Shadow, Light, Order and Disorder) stop their Song then the 7th will make it’s move.

Automa Oracle Saezurah says thus:

“Six voices in discord. Without harmony, the anthem will be ended.”

“Her dreams sing beneath the surface. Quiet now, but her voice will awaken the others.”

“You will banish the silence.”

What will awaken once the 6 Cosmic Forces stop singing? The 6 Cosmic Forces will of course awaken from their Songs being in discord(thanks to whichever Cosmic Force’s Dreams the Old Gods have been crudely messing with in the absence of Dimensius) but that is not the main problem as the 7th is going to start poaching on the Mortal Realm once the 6 have started moving against their own Realms.

Li-Li Stormstout. Not sure its Pandaren Heritage armor related or a sign she’ll be in Midnight.

Lowkey highkey confounded that all the new blood elf-y red armor has dark blue gemstones on it. We’ve been using green for like 20 IRL years? Lor’themar is rocking blue gems but they’re like, sky blue. None of the new stuff is gonna match any of my old stuff. What da heck.

What’s up with the harp?

We’ll learn the Jailer turned Lirath into a harp or something. A bit less Shakespearian than the whole Skull of Gul’dan thing Illidan was doing back in BC, but still.

I assume the harp is to show that she’s mellowed out a bit. Presumably we’ll see her leaning against a wail plucking a mournful tune.

Their brother played the harp I think. Probably a memento of him.

I assume it’s primarily for for pandaren heritage but I wouldn’t be surprised if her and Chen are some of the characters in the Arcantina.

The ghost/shade/memory/whatever-shadowlands-broke-all-of-it —of her younger Brother is your guide through the Windrunner dungeon. At the end of the dungeon, it’s hard to tell based on the footage I’ve seen, but you either fight some ghostly/shade/memory/whatever of either one of the sisters (some suspect Sylvanas) or the Windrunner mother.

It didn’t look like Sylvanas to me, more like Alleria or some generic Farstrider (which leads me to believe it’s the mother) but if my queen is in the files, then there’s the faint possibility she shows up, even if it’s just… like calling her on a magical phone call.
