Bruh moment
Never escaping the travesty that is light undead
The Light clearly only hates Revendreth’s Death Magic and Shadow which means the Nathrezim probably think it convenient that they ingested the painful Fel as it turning them into Demons grants them some protection from the Light’s wrath against them for attempting to infiltrate it.
The Greek word Nekros means Corpse while Thanatos means Death.
Necromancy means Corpse-Mancy and Thanatomancy means Death-Mancy.
In otherwords Necromancy has no specific ties to Cosmic Forces although I’m sure that if there is no Corpse belonging to the Soul the Cosmic Force the Soul belongs to has command over said Soul and thus is best to tap into to bring it back to the Mortal Realm.
Forsaken paladins are great but Orc druids are also cool.
Really it depends on the kind. I’m not really a fan of little miss “I’m not a replacement for the Dark Lady”. She might have her moments and as a character I don’t have a problem with her so much as why she as a character exists.
However, to me there is something very appealing about someone who knows it’s going to hurt and yet the payout is worth it to them, so they just tank the pain and keep going. In many ways to me that’s part of what it means to be Forsaken to tank the pain and just keep going.
Is anything actually left of K’aresh? I was under the impression that the entire planet was consumed
The general assumption is that the Undermine epilogue cinematic:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wF2GsOoFtQw&t=1s
features K’aresh at the end.
It probably is K’aresh. A big fragment with what might be the remains of the world soul swirling in the middle. But it isn’t confirmed (as far as I know), so there’s a chance it could just be something else.
Assuming these light undead still have free will. That would actually be worse than a regular undead. You are brought back from death, but are in constant pain from light magic, but you cant speak or talk or even end your own suffering.
Not how it works. Lifhtforged undead feel no pain from the Light. It’s the Light that animates them. All six cosmic powers can perform necromancy. Calia talks about this and about how her experience is different from the forsaken. She is at mental and physical peace.
Light undead would essentially feel the reverse from normal undead, normal undead feel pain from the light, light undead would feel pain from shadow
Ok but light undead is sus lore still
It’s dead but reanimated. If you revive it with the light how does it end up a zombie when usually the spell revives peeps?
Woops accidentally made Calia a light zombie instead of bringing her back lol what
Benediktion! Ben! BEN!
Benedikt I will pay you to hug Calia.
It’s fool-proof. She’d never say no to a hug, and no one would ever believe you could kill with one.
The Light does things based on Certainty. It heals based on Certainty and Re-Animates the Dead based on Certainty. Calia was Certain she wanted to be a Zombie.
If you are Certain an Undead should look like a Rotting Zombie the Light will create them looking like a Rotting Zombie. If you are Certain an Undead should be a Healthy Zombie then the Light will revive them as a Healthy Zombie.
The Light when used to heal Undead doesn’t reverse the Rot it simply restores the Body to the state it was in before being injured due to the Healer’s conviction that is what the Undead is supposed to look like after being healed.
Healing Undead with Light of course will replace any Revendreth Death Magic(but not the Maldraxxi and Mawsworn Death Magic nor the Fel Magic) involved in making the Scourge Undead’s Tether with Light burning away the Revendreth Death Magic in the process and chances are the Light doesn’t know how much should be replaced and repairs the entire Tether due to it’s Conviction that is what the Tether is supposed to look like.
Better use a Void Elf or Venthyr as the Forsaken don’t have pure enough Revendreth Death Magic flowing through their flesh to harm Calia.
11.2 will be something related to Karesh or the Ethereals. They got the Dark Heart from Gally and Xal will follow suit, which is bad news for them. Locus Walker will probably show up to give us a heads up and then we will follow Xal to try and cut short any plan she might have. I’m not looking forward to the M+ season because it wil 100% have Seat of the Triumvirate. Whoever designed that dungeon should be arrested.
inb4 Blizzard does a complete revamp of Mana Tombs to give us another Ethereal dungeon for TWW S3.
Honestly I’m interested to see which older dungeons will return in S3. I feel Blizzard burned some relevant ones in Dragonflight. Such as Shadowmoon Burial Grounds and / or Underrot.
I have a feeling that Plaguefall might be one that is set to return. If we are going to a blown up planet as either a zone or just the raid, a dungeon where the setting is we are exploring ruins that was caused by an explosion would be relevant. Either that or one (or both) wings of Tazavesh. Given the Ethereal, Broker connection we are getting in the Ethereal lorewalking quests.
Although it really does depend on how many dungeons from TWW Blizzard chooses from the poll a couple of weeks back. Will they only take the top one? Two? Three? Eight?
I would imagine it will be the top 2 or 3. Depending on whether the new dungeon in 11.2 is a regular dungeon or a mega dungeon. Blizzard didn’t technically rule out a megadungeon for TWW. Just that they didn’t want to bring one in with 11.1 as that was predictable. Given that 3 / 4 megadungeons came out in the X.1.Y patch cycles.
Oh right. Honestly I’ve been out of the whole loop for a while. Cool if there’s more world soul lore
Calia isn’t a real undead. She was lightforged.
is she an undead that got lightforged or a light priest that got ressurected while keeping the rot
Considering these Undead(clearly Zombies) in the Priory of the Sacred Flame the idea of Light Undead is clearly not impossible: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GLeTagGW4AA0FDR.jpg:large
Calia is no different from the Death Knights or Dark Rangers aside from what Magic was used to Reanimate her.
Its very possible. Seasons have been 4 dungeons from current expac and 4 from previous ones. I wont be surprised if Seat of the Triumvirate, Mana Tombs and Shrine of the Storm are there.
I’m glad I missed Underrot. The only dungeon I liked from BFA was Waycrest Manor, and Freehold I tolerated. The rest was a pain in the azz. They were great visually and the presentation was good as always, but the gameplay was a penitence.
Oh god, no. NO, GOD, NO!
Most likely the top 4. I liked Dawnbreaker despite the bugs, the idea of an open dungeon that you can fly around and the ship battle was SUPER cool. If they can squash the bugs it will be some of the best dungeons in WoW.
As for the rest, its a shame they voted for Ara-Kara of all dungeons. Bunch of metaslaves. Hope Blizzard nerf that damned Sacbrood into oblivion just so people have to run it anyway but without the trinket. I’m spiteful and petty like that.
