They retook their lands by the end of bfa, is not contested lands, there is no war going on, or skirmishes for land.

Ashenvale is still contested. That is of exploring Kalimdor, which depicts Ashenvale as it always was, which is to say half of it is owned by Horde.
They retook Darkshore, but it remains a polluted dump. The equivalence to this is if Eversong was also destroyed like Ghostlands is, and Silvermoon is wiped off the map.

One can argue the entire area under the world tree is basically a temple, particularly the giant well of eternity sized moonwell at the center. Also there should not be statues of elune. There have never been statues of elune. She is only depicted via lunar iconography. The iconic statue in the Darnassian temple was of Haidene, the first high priestess for the Sisterhood of Elune.

So everything we have seen of the Night Elf architecture and culture is wrong for the past 20 years… until Amirdrassil? Am I getting that right?

Darnasus did not depict elune no. It depicted Haidene; that has been stated multiple times via short stories and books. The temple of Val’sharah also did not depict Elune. To date we have never had a single anthropomorphic depiction of her confirmed. She is depicted using only lunar iconography.

You made me have to go double check myself and I was forced to remember they took the time to detail in Elegy to detail how the statue collapses and kills screaming people seeking shelter in its sacred waters. And how those sacred waters spilled out tainted red with the blood of innocents. I blame you for my vague irritation now.

They also had the intention to put up death camps in darkshore, and have the Horde round up night elf civilians and execute them.
There was some incomprehensible insanity going on in the writing team in BfA

Good thing they didn’t, there is no number of councils that would make that go away.
To be fair no amount of councils will make the genocide and targeting civilians go away, but the death camps with mass executions would’ve fully completed the writers’ intentions to make the Horde WW2 Germany.
Don’t ask me why they had these intentions in the first place. The fact that this idea made it to the PTR is quite crazy to me. It just puts into perspective what kind of intentions they had with the night elves

Oh yea I actually agree that we should see Darkshore Town being rebuild to see Boat travel from Darkshore to Dragon Isles Night Elf Land World Tree, Feralas, and the Draenei Lands. Also stormwind too because I miss the Night Elf Boat rides.
I’m not sure about Neutral side just put in a area where it’s only alliance only and they like kick you out of the area kinda of like Shattrath and the Silver Covenant did with the Horde Players and same with the Alliance but mostly horde players.
Also could we like have New Dailies like Professions, Auction Houses, Banks, and etc that would be great to see. Also a Void Elf, Worgen/Gilneas, and Race Embassy too. Atleast with the Worgen just chilling.
I agree with more New HD Buildings like only ones that is missing are the Barrow Den Bunkers, another version of the Night Elf Tower, and Druid Tree Spire.
But over all I can’t wait to see more of this awesome new night elf city.
