I think Azeroth is both Light and Arcane. The flavor text for one of the radiant echo companions explicitly states it is made of Light and Arcane. Azerite and the echoes are both blue and gold. The echoes themselves are also called “radiant”.
Azeroth’s call is described as a song which is very Naaru-like.
It’s worth noting that that’s how one of the NPCs in Hallowfall describes the Sacred Flame as a mix of arcane and light magic.
Hmm. Well we supposedly know the lifeblood of Azeroth (Well of Eternity) was arcane.
Though it makes me wonder if that was just because of Titan influence. And if the Light stuff is due to Beledar’s influence .
I had additional thoughts on this in terms of whether Azeroth is truly a Titan or not. With what we know of the First Ones relationships with the Eternal Ones in Shadowlands, we know that the Eternal Ones were created via Zereth Mortis. The ongoing theory is that there is a Zereth for each of the realms, which would then include one for the Titans. It’s safe to assume that the Titans and Eternal Ones were created by similar means and in similar fashions.
If that holds true, then Titans being “born” in the realm of reality makes little sense. They would be the only ones from that “tier” of the universe to be able to produce themselves in that manner, and it really stands in contrast to what we’ve seen so far. To me, that also points to Azeroth being more unique than we originally thought, and not really aligned with any of the cosmic forces in terms of substance.
