Do we know who officially died in the light vanguard? I feel like Salandria shouldn’t be dead but she was not among survivors. Kinda bummed is mariella ward is dead as well?
We don’t. There is a decent chance the majority got teleported to where the heck Xal is planning on going and will be our army for what ever the final patch of this expansion will be.

We can even begin to guess until after the next raid if we defeat L’ura. We can’t get anywhere near the Sunwell at the moment.

I mean we can. You can literally go anywhere in Sunwell plateau and can even go into the Sunwell room, L’ura will just kill but you can see she is alone there.
Going in the chamber (where most of the named characters would have been) will kill you.
Not sure how that’s not a problem in the search for remains.
I’m saying that there likely isnt anyone there and the fact that is where the final raid boss will be means I doubt we will find any living soul in there.
There’s nobody there, but there’s no canonical way anyone in the story could know that.
Canonically the whole complex is controlled by the devouring host and even hanging around for too long outside of the chamber will give you some strange void sickness.
Theres no way the story can address who’s dead with any degree of certainty until after the sunwell is reclaimed.

I really disliked having to save Anduin, Calia, and Faerin. Why couldn’t I be sent to save people who didn’t suck?

Anduin is kind, polite, and gentle, and a brilliant example of Positive Masculinity.
If you dislike Anduin, you should honestly reevaluate yourself as a person IRL. Clearly you don’t have the proper values in mind.

There is a grand 0% chance Alleria and Turalyon are dead. If they were to die, it would be there against Xal’atath for maximum dramatic value. And since Blizzard didn’t pull the trigger now, I highly doubt they’ll do it at all.
Maybe you should reevaluate yourself if you think one’s taste in characters mirrors their actual values and actions irl. What an idiotic take.

I have a feeling all of the Tyr’s Guard will be alive because what do you mean we were just introduced to them and then ALL OF THEM die off screen at the same time?
Maybe they’ll tie into The Last Titan stuff and some of these characters will be like when we saved Dalaran citizens from the Nerubians later down the line.

Or maybe they’ll pull a peak Blizzard, we don’t find them or find out what happened to them then they just show up in later content without explanation.

Anyway we won’t know until patches hit. Salandria and such could’ve been out and about like during Eversong questing.
