Not to be the Scarlet doomposter, but I really don’t want blizzard touching us ever again.
All of the signs are there for the Arathi kingdom being set up as the big bad, but after Gilneas and how absolutely out of character some of the Scarlet Crusades actions were, I may be in the vocal minority of never wanting to be part of the plot again.
At least with this writing team.
If the eastern kingdoms can get an author that actually appreciates the turmoils of the living and the dead and can contribute a romanticized story that adds legitimacy to the living descendants of Lordaeron to wanting their homes back paired against the rightful seizure of the Forsaken, we may have better quality storytelling.
Right now Lordaeron has an identity crisis on what it was and what it is and there has been effectively zero story telling to address this.
Edit: And in conclusion. I don’t want to see the scarlets in a story line that is specifically tied into the world building of the Arathi empire.
Let them have their time, and save the eastern kingdom conflict to a very dedicated section of storytelling.
