As much it doesn’t bother me anymore if people /spit on me (in general, i personally never had this being spit on for a store mount thing happen to me), and if i don’t like to see it, i block it out in my mind or just turn off the emotes chat (we seriously don’t need to remove things cause people used it for bad intent, Just punish the person with the bad intent.), this in particular does bother me given the fact it’s even a thing.
Showing disdain and anger towards the person who bought something you dislike. Why? Even i who dislike microtransactions and have a growing tired dislike towards premium video games with mtx, don’t do something like that.
This isn’t limited to just digital spitting, but from what my friends told me (i’l admit, i never experienced this myself, so take with a bottle of salt. I won’t blame you if you don’t believe me), that people kick people out of groups and guilds over this.
It is? The only time I ever spit on someone was for playing a blood elf, but I can’t do that anymore since DH’s only option on Horde is to be a BE. I wouldn’t want to be hypocritical. I’ve never seen someone /spit on another player for the reason you mention though.
Jokes is on all the spitters, I have a spit fetish. Look store mounts are never going away, and I get mine for free. If people want to pay for something, even though they are already paying a sub, then so be it. I am not going to get upset about what you do with your money.
I just find it ironic that everyone in this thread is joking about how fragile the people who spit on store mounts are, while at the same time, this entire thread is about someone asking Blizzard to make changes to store mounts because they got offended that someone spit on their mount.

A friend gave me a store mount as a gift because we’re friends and they wanted to do something nice for me. Someone spit on me in a BG and called me a bunch of names. I had a good laugh.
I use almost nothing but store mounts. I bought the Luminous Starseeker and the Fey Dragon because I love the chameleon effect and I wanted them. I don’t care what anyone else thinks.
I also receive mounts now and then because my preferred method of sub maintenance is 6-month renewals. So, I ride the rat mount on every Gnome I have…because OMG it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen.
I’ve never had anyone /spit on me that I’ve noticed, and if I did, I would not care. Like, at all. I use what I want.
Store mounts are fine as they are, and people who don’t like that there are store mounts have their reasons. Some of those people are juvenile little twits. So what? There are juvenile twits in trade chat, too. I turn it off. Anyone who /spit on me would get a right-click/ignore and I would never think on it again.
Though a creative idea, OP, I don’t want my mount to acknowledge trolls because I don’t.
and have never noticed.
