Spellslinger Hero Talent (Volatile Magic vs Unerring Proficiency) Feedback

I love the idea of super charging Supernova and getting a wicked big SHOOM! But the trade off is too rough. Volatile magic triggers as often as splinters trigger (which is constantly) and adds constant damage to what is already going on. Supernova is on a 45 sec cooldown. Which means every splinter after the stack is full (30 splinters), but before 45 seconds has elapsed, contributes nothing. This happens most of the time, nearly all of the time.

Recommend doing something to help Unerring Proficiency be more desirable, especially since it is the non-passive option. This could include:

  • increasing the stack cap on Unerring Proficiency to 40, 50, or 60 (supernova at max stacks right now isn’t that high dmg anyway)
  • increasing supernova’s baseline damage so that even with missing lots of splinter stacks, it’s still worth hitting
  • increasing the amount of additional damage each splinter gives to supernova to maybe 25% (currently 16%) for the same reason as the item above
  • decreasing supernova’s cooldown to 30 seconds (currently 45), so we don’t as frequently waste splinters

PS: I love spellslinger, I love delves, I love arcane, I love you guys for making this entire expansion for me basically (minus the season 1 lineup of dungeons…sheesh)
