Spellbreaker Class For Specific Races

Paladins would make no sense. Neither would druids really. I don’t much care about them having their own version of spellbreakers.

Oh yes you are, lol. Don’t be silly. You just got done claiming someone destroyed the Alliance when every single decision has always been Blizzard’s. It’s not on the players, and you attempting to blame them is ridiculous. Relax. I would argue that’s worse!

Oh my good lord that’s exactly what you people do and infuriate the heck out of us. ‘‘Oh nO yoU CannOT HaVE DRuIDS OR PalADins or AnyTHING CAUSE LOre’’ when we both know very well that the only reason you don’t want us to have anything is because you hate us for having a model similar to yours. Quit hiding behind your darn finger.

I still think Tinker is what is going to happen.

With mechs that function the same way as “shapeshifts” and open to vulpera, mechagnomes, gnomes, goblins.

It opens the door to tank, healer (think w3 alchemist), dps. You can also make it work from a lore perspective at any time. They showed up in BFA. “We built mech suits to aid in our fight against xyz new super-bad-guy”…so it doesn’t really need the whole xpac themed around it.

I highly doubt we will see a pure dps class. SBs were cool in W3, but only really functional as a counter to casters. Mages already have spellsteal and counterspell.

This is silly. It’s not so personal. And you acting like it is comes off oddly emotionally charged. Disliking Blizzard’s choices because of personal viewpoints is fine. Acting like it’s some personally fueled hatred is being silly.

I have nothing to hide as I’ve been very direct involving my thoughts. I feel the requests are bad because they destroy uniqueness. I have always been direct involving my thoughts that factions should be unique. The problem does lie with Blizzard for caving though, and I’ve always been direct about that.

You can pick a fight with me all you like but it’s not going to do anything.

Might as well delete void elves completely cause uniqueness. Or let’s just paint them all completely blue. It’s exactly the same as deletion. Or remove all classes for them, blood elves got priest, warrior, mage, warlock etc as well.

The void elves were unique, and had plenty of opportunity to make somthing of themselves. The void elves aren’t the problem. It’s turning them into helf-lite which is a problem, and wanting to copy everything blood elf as a result. That’s the issue.

I’ve made no secret, and you can check my post history, that if they void elves had received customizations specific to void elves. So yeah, they should have been completely blue, purple, black, more void touched skins, etc. I’ve also made no secret, and you can check my post history, that if the void elves had gotten the nightborne treatment involving a slight model edit, and change to their idle, they would have been perfectly fine even with helf skin tones in my opinion.

Again, you can pick a fight with me all you like, but it’s not gonna do anything. The damage is done. People are gonna be unhappy. They have a right to be unhappy. But the fault lies with Blizzard, not the players. In both situations. The only thing the helfers are guilty of is begging for over a decade and eventually aiming to erode the faction divide and uniqueness. They are guilty of requesting it. But not actually doing it - that lies with Blizzard.

If you cannot see what is wrong with this statement I honestly cannot help. What part of ''people like normal looking elves a lot more than blueberry zombies do you not understand? Or ''people like normal elves a lot more than aliens with hooves and tendrils? It’s human nature to request pretty things. It’s Blizzard’s fault indeed, everything is. Ofc people are happy they are finally getting what they requested 16 years later.

It just annoys me that no matter what we request you people jump in to tell us how we cannot have it for x, y, z reason, without making any suggestions, and then have the audacity to come and tell us that you should also have something we’re uniquely asking for.

I don’t need to understand it. I play both factions. In my mind, just play both factions. Nothing wrong with that. It’s not my want, nor my job to understand it when in my mind there’s a perfectly fine, and has been a perfectly fine alternative for quite some time.

Because your requests do not make sense. Again, it makes zero sense - you cannot justify it - that you would get spellbreakers, and the original race making spellbreakers wouldn’t have access to them. It is impossible. Most of the requests you make fall in line with this, lol. It’s an unreasonable and impossible thing, which makes no sense.

If you asked for more reasonable things, I’d be all for it.

Ok so have Spellbreakers for Blood elves, fine. But then you continued with how druids and paladins would not make sense. Well, we can get paladin re-skin to be like a Void Paladin. And druids need not be druids in the conventional sense, but will have learnt how to harness the void by training with Locus Walker and use the Void energies to transform into animals or something, just need some lore added to back it up.

And here’s why paladins do not make sense, nor does a reskin. Keep in mind my perspective - do not think of me shutting you down, just try to hear something and listen to the actual words being present. I am a PvP’er. Spell school lockouts mean something. In the case of both druids and paladins, reskins or anything of the sort would be moving it to a different spell school and cosmological aspect of the game. This is a problem, specifically involving the current game and how spell lock outs work.

For example, if you reskin a void elf paladin’s abilities to be voidy purple but still call it some kind of paladin, or have it function in the same regard, the spell school functionality of the game is important, especially when discussing school lockouts. If I kick a void knight or whatever you want on Darkest Shadows (Holy Light) but it’s Kyrian and can just use Divine Toll anyway which would still function as a holy spell, you have now created a massive problem involving PvP balance. The same goes for druids.

If names are changed and spells are recolored, they should be in the proper school. This is why I say I’d be fine with night elf paladins (provided they have nothing to do with Delas Moonfang because she’s an idiot). Silver Light of Elune is still Light magic, and would function on the same spell school.

Spellbreaker - Sin‘dorei , Ren‘dorei, Quel‘dorei

I didn’t say anything about renaming abilities. I suggest we leave the technicalities to Blizzard with regards to this.

Every “give us void elf paladins” thing I’ve seen has been about reskinning them. If you’re not intending on reskinning them, then the counter argument there is void elves are still void elves regardless of if they look like high elves or not, and as a result, have no business infusing themselves with the Light.

Yes so re-skin but not rename the abilities. They will still look the same, just some of them will be re-coloured.

Which is a spell school problem. If it looks like a purple goopy spell, it should be in the purple goopy cosmology sphere, which means the spell school lockout should be different.

Which is a problem.

There are examples of Void/Light together, simultaneous. Vindicar’s Cruciable Netherlight is a mix of Naaru and the Void creature, Velen says both energies can coexist. Alleria manipulates the two energies to have a true vision that she would never harm her son, with light and void showing her different views. I don’t remember if it was the dagger or if Etheral trained the Alleria, but they say the Naarus are just misrepresented with their Void brothers. That is, they are the same energy with different polarity.

And finally

"@DaveKosak Is the [Unholy Light a form of manifested light, changed by the wielder, just like Elune’s moonlight and the Light of An’she?”

““Unholy light” is really just shadow/void magic, so that’s kinda a weird ability kit there.”

Back in Icecrown, we also saw dead crusaders popping off unholy Light and such, but people typically argue against undead paladins as well. If we’re just gonna use these examples as the norm then I guess paladin should be opened up to more stuff, but I don’t see that one happening either.

I dunno, to me it doesn’t make much sense. We’ll see what Blizzard does. I’m also against undead paladins too for the record, but that’s just me.

Yes, I remember that thread. But it’s always like that, people tend to see no meaning in certain things. I on the other hand try to see the possibilities and examples she gave to break her paradigms.

With Tazavesh’s writings, when they say that energies mix in infinite patterns, I believe that’s what blizz means. Life and Death, Arcane and Fel, Light and Void.
