They need to fix something. I’m able to hit and be hit from way too far away most of the time. It’s like melee attack range is temporarily 10 yards for a hit or 2.
I know, I’m kidding. I agree with you, it’s way worse today than it was.
I find it curious that people support the perpetuation of bugs that were implemented while developing classic and have nothing to do with anything that happened in vanilla.
My melee attacks can’t damage something that’s not at melee. The mobs can melee me from full range when this happens.
A lot of this sounds like OP is having lag. This is NOT Blizzard-caused.
A lot of this is stuff that I have NEVER experienced in 8 weeks of Classic. Hunter pets not responding for 3 seconds? NO WAY! Two of my characters are hunters, and their pets always respond to any command in less than 1 second.
OP is mistaking “my lag” for “Blizzard-added lag”.
Counterpoint: Seal of Righteousness. On my paladin the SoR portion of the damage of a melee attack happens roughly half a second after the melee damage. My internet connection is not faster for melee damage only. The other noticeable thing is that if I cast SoR within a short enough time frame after a melee swing, the SoR proc damage will apply to that swing that already happened. Neither of those things happened in vanilla.
Among many many many other things people have noticed. I think people who claim this is just like vanilla are either trolling at this point or just that bad at the game that they really think it’s the same as it was.
I’m not sure what skill at the game has to do with noticing something like this. I pay attention to little details like this because I’ve been a software tester for decades. There was NOT the same level of delay between melee attacks and seal procs as there is now. Nor was I able to cast a seal and have it’s proc apply to a swing that already happened during beta.
I was agreeing with you
my latency never even reaches 100ms doesn’t matter if i’m in undercity at the bank or running around in an empty section of barrens. so no i’m not lagging. day or night, rain or shine.
they wonked the game up by making unnecessary changes, im not the only person who this happens to. these are frequent bugs for many people
if all 5 people see a heal go off in a dungeon, then the person gets hit after that healing animation finishes and dies, that’s the game not me or the 4 other people.
just recently my friend charged a target, i healed him because he had lost health from a previous encounter and the mob hit me from over 25 meters away, then it ran at me. how is that possible. we have separate internet providers, and live in separate areas.
Batching is Cancer, I have a hard time believing it has any benefits that could possibly outweigh all the gamebreaking bugs it’s causing.

Oh I didn’t realize it had such an overwhelmingly important benefit.
My bad.
Except they did.
