Speed Set nerfs?

Yeah you’re right, i just checked, i actually have +59% speed, 49% from speed rating + 10% boot speed enchant.
Idk why i was remembering +49% total, i had just checked a few days ago.

Stuff like this isn’t generally mentioned in hotfix notes anymore. Somewhere along the way ‘negative’ hotfixes were apparently deemed bad to publicize so they’re almost never officially announced.

Yeah god forbid we have fun grinding old dungeons for transmog.

Thanks Blizzard

Because players were found to be having fun.

Sadly this is a common theme.

They want you to stay online longer. Slowing everything down mean you will stay subbed longer.

For me, running old raids for transmog and to earn gold has always been something I enjoyed in this game. Having it nerfed so heavily after being buffed for a single week is a terrible feeling. I don’t care for much of the gameplay in WoW, but this was something I was really hoping would stick around. Oh well :upside_down_face:

I enjoyed the pace at which farming old content could be done. It was fun. But most things that I find fun in this game get removed. It’s really disheartening. And it undermines all the work and creative process of building these speed sets on multiple characters. I was looking forward to enjoying some old raid farming after work last night, but this change really gutted me. I need to reassess if I really wanna invest time into stuff like this in the future.

i think we should do a coup on these devs

The infuriating thing is they purposefully increased the ilevel of gear and scaled up the mobs accordingly, then after the fact went back and nerfed stats like speed as well as the vendor gold values that went along with the increased ilevels while totally ignoring the issue with the mobs all being scaled up as well.

Change that has side effects that benefit players - nerf it, fast and hard.

Change that negatively impacts players - ignore it or tell them ‘level 80 will fix it’.

Is it just me or why can’t I get over 3% speed with Azerite powers? Despite having the collar at level 50 and having all 3 items with Longstrider, my speed percentage doesn’t get over 3%. It only gets increased by external sources like potions, food, or the effects of the Onyx Annulet. Or is it because I’m level 70? I don’t know much about the speed set, if someone could help me I’d appreciate it.

For the love of god, can Microsoft lay off the morons who keep making stupid changes like this? Whoever nerfed this, especially nerfing it worse than pre-patch, absolutely deserves to be sent packing, because they don’t have the game or the players best interest at heart.

edit

Canceled my sub over this, this is ridiculous.

Sorry to see you go.

Ever since Legion this dev team has been very hostile toward players that do not do endgame content.

Okay I came to check on this as well. The speeds were WAY higher before.
Is it possible that it’ll scale back up once we level up to 80 again and refarm the gear?

This was the intent.

Classic is totally picking up. Went back to my dead realm, and now there’s a growing guild that will be running dungeons.

Blizz got me over here pleading just to get Longstrider back to what it was in 10.2.7 instead of the sad state it’s in now. :sob:

I was so bummed the other day about this. Like…who/what was it hurting?

Yeah, especially since Azerite stuff only works up through BfA content. It’s not like it imbalances anything at max level. It’s literally only for the oldest content in the game that you’re already powerful enough to blitz through damage-wise, so what’s the harm in the extra speed? :pensive:

Exactly. I’ll be using my hunter more often for xmog runs now. Just a real bummer. Hopefully they’ll fix it, but doubtful.
