[Spectrum] Higher than normal Latency

Hey all,

We’ve forwarded the extra information to our network team and let them know this was still a problem. There was some scheduled maintenance on the backbone previously so we had to wait to see if it cleared up after that. Since it didn’t, we’re back to the drawing board.

Appreciate the post, this is obviously a very, very annoying issue to say the least so hope you guys can fix this up sooner then later

What ever you did last week undo it because it screwed us up

It’s really odd, if I log into a Los Angeles based server I get 75ms, if I log into a Chicago server exactly the same 75ms. People on the Overwatch forums think everyone is getting routed to LA. I’m not sure if that’s possible in WoW to get sent to LA then back to Chicago, but it’s odd to me that the latency is the same at both datacenters.

The sad thing is if I log into my EU account, I get 100-120ms. All the way across the ocean and only 30ms more.

Looks like something got fixed latency back down to 30-35 from 80-90

Mine is fixed as well!!

Back to normal 25ms!!!

Heya all!

Sorry for the delay on this one, but we’re starting to get positive reports after a modification we just did a little while ago to fix the routing. This one was on us and it took a little doing to resolve, but things should be going back to normal for you shortly if they haven’t fixed up already.

Again, we appreciate your patience and all the information/cooperation on this thread. Let us know if anything else comes up. We’ll keep the thread opened for a bit just to make sure the fix sticks, but at this point any further issues for Spectrum/Charter players are probably individual issues rather than this problem.

Back to normal here to.

Thanks, all clear here too!

Looks like things are all set on my end now as well. Latency back to normal and no other issues with it.

Thanks

Edit: I’ll leave this here, but I should start a new thread as this issue has been solved.

…there still seems to be an intermittent problem. It isn’t exactly the same. I had it happen to me 3 times tonight where it was like I completely lost connection to the game (people ran in place) for 2-10s. Here is a snapshot of when it happened.

Woohoo! Thanks for sorting it out : )

Based on this theory and then seeing this:

I think they may have been correct.

Yay! Seems to be fixed. My question is… is anyone else having odd numbers now though? Like for years my latency has been around 80ms/80ms home/world. Since this fix my latency has been 69ms Home 80ms World , next time i logged in i was at 82ms home/68ms World. Never seen a difference between home and world before. Im not complaining! glad its lower, just usually Home/World stay close and it’s odd every log in either my home is higher by about 15ms or world is higher by 15ms and it stays that way. Is this a good sign or am i still having some issues? Anyone else noticing this?

I usually have at least a small difference between home and world.

Howdy!

We are seeing multiple replies that this issue appears to be resolved. This does appear to have been related to a routing issue that is now fixed. I’m going to close this thread but if you continue to notice any problems please feel free to start a new thread.

Thank you all!
