Spectral tiger twitch drop when?

I think chicken will be next

Which is why I don’t think they do it. The other TCG mounts I don’t think are in the same league.

There’s a finite number of them, and that’s not going up, only the price is.

They’ve gone on record saying it likely won’t.

Account mode collectors are where its at.

That wouldn’t be so bad. It could have a barbershop or something on it. Maybe bank access.

You’d probably lose that bet seeing as current trends in NA and EU/UK are putting TCG items on the TP or Drops. Only reason why Blizzard China put it up for a crap ton of money is cause of lost time, and lost revenue. Plus, those players can afford it since all they do is gold farm.

They’ve gone on record saying a lot of things they never held true to. Their track record speaks for itself.

“He wouldn’t expect this mount to drop randomly through some promotion.”

Trading Post or cash shop wouldn’t be random though. Who knows?

What Blizz says and what Blizz does are 2 different things. You can find a post from 5 years ago where it was said (to the effect of) “We dont want to see AH mounts running around like we see repair mounts.” -That comment aged like milk.

You can bet that cat and chicken are being kept in the back pocket for rainy days, either as a giveaway or in the cash shop, that remains to be seen.

The next sentence of that quote is also very important.

Not really. Ion’s personal surprise or lack thereof means very little. The corporation’s thoughts on the matter now, and what they may be in the future do mean something though.

But, since you wanted to go there, keep reading.

“but if if it did show back up, they would think very very very very carefully about it”

My friend, I did read it. That’s why I linked it. Because an official from Blizzard stated that the exact opposite of what I was responding to.

Fact: If they put the Swift Spectral Tiger on the cash shop for $500, you’d see dozens of them in Dornagol within seconds of it going on sale. Easy. No questions.

Blizzard knows this. It’s just a question of when we’ll see more whale-only over the top cash shop purchases.

As a Swift Spectral owner - I’d be perfectly fine if they put it up for the current going Ebay price for a limited time (>$8000 looks like?).

The forum meltdowns would be a cherry on top.

They only cost a few thousand dollars and that is it. I got a bunch of them when it was one per toon back in the day so my pally had one, my dk did, my warrior did, my multiboxing group of 8 each had one, my warlock had one. That was when they were 2k USD a piece. Then they became account wide after I got some of them. They are only about 5k now or so. You can get them if you really want them that bad. Still for sale. Talking Swift Spectral Tiger here.

I doubt it would happen, but it would be entertaining watching it play out.

  • The few active players who actually have it will go into full social media meltdown mode. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :japanese_goblin: :scream_cat:
  • A huge amount of players would swamp Twitch. Lapsed players would resub for a month just to get it.
  • For the first week, the game would be overrun with them. By week four you’d see one here and there as people went back to their other mounts.

The best part about the Spectral Tiger is its rarity. When they’re suddenly common, most people would lose interest. There’s plenty of spectral mounts in the game, but I rarely see them. That tells me that spectral design isn’t a big deal to many. :dracthyr_shrug:

They gave Mottled Drake away with that stuff and it about the same value most often as the tiger is. So they might. TCG kinda died out as soon as Blizzard made all the mounts from it account bound so there was no need to collect TCG stuff on alts anymore.

Riiiight. We dont know what blizzard has cooked up.

I am almost sure that talks have been circleing around the table at blizzard hq of what tcg items they want to release… a 260 dollar spectral tiger.

I get what you’re saying. But the post you’re replying to had two different things in it. One was the Trading Post, and the other was a promotion. The promotion part could include a random aspect. That random aspect is what I think is being ruled out. They want to avoid having another offering that causes people to seek out third party sellers.

But they are leaving the door open for an offering that doesn’t involve random access, like a game shop, trading post, or in game event in which anyone (If you have the currency or time) can get it.

Peace!
