When Evokers were first announced: āCan we Tank?!ā No, we need more ranged.
We keep asking, we want to be able to TANK as a freaking Dragonā¦
We get told in interviews that they would look into it.
Then we get thisā¦ a Buff style class, when already people have fits about getting Power Infusionā¦
Why can we not tank as a freaking Dragon race?! Or as theyāve said, learn new classes AFTER this expansionā¦ so if you want to tank as a Dragonā¦ too bad.
Like I donāt understand the logic, from day 1 everyone shouted, we want tanks!
Even in the dev interviews the question was alwaysā¦ will we get a Tank spec for Evokers, cause thatās what so many people asked forā¦ honestly super disappointed in this spec, Iāll try it out of course, but smhā¦

I support the idea of supports specs but i donāt support the idea of A support spec in the game.
It would be nice if we see a shift to a āā2-DPS-SUPORT-HEAL-TANKāā meta instead of the usual āā3-DPS-HEAL-TANKāā in MM+, still the fact there is only ONE support spec will either lock one spot if they managed to be mandatory or never being picked and bring the devastation spec with it in the trash picks for MM+ if they donāt (You donāt ever want an half DPS on a timed run, so you donāt want to flip a coin on a DPS Evoker Pick in Pug).
If they add a real support role, it need to be supported by other classes, even if itās as a new path choice in talent trees, else this will create a big diversity problem in group compositions.

Yeah they said it wonāt have a tank spec that doesnāt mean itās the right choice plenty of people are wanting it to have a tank spec and it literally does no harm to you to add a tank spec tanks are literally the most important role in a group and they repeatedly get screwed over we have the least amount of options and itās not like we are asking them to take anything away from people like you just that they should add (which means to give another without taking away) to add a tank spec

Blizz tone deaf again. So much drama over PI and alot of FOMO caused by it, cant wait to hear the next argument over who gets the next external damage modifier. If this can be limited to external damage reductions or speed/utility over damage modifiers(with buffing the augmenter dmg), maybe it wont increase the toxicity of the PVE scene.
Nothing feels worse right now than getting 1500 tells a raid about PI and getting so much grief over it. "

You got it! I wonder if this will lean into FF14 style Bard or be inspired more by the type of alacrity/might/support builds from GW2.
Or maybe itāll be its own unique thing. So much potential. I might actually get onto the PTR to play around and provide feedback. Normally I just sit by and read about changes rather than engage with it myself, but Iām so down for this.

If warlock gets any new spec it better be tank, based on how they had fights to tank vanilla thru wotlk and also MoP iirc

We heard how much negative feedback the community gives in regard to Power Infusionā¦ So we made a whole spec around it.

They seem like they do not want to do range tanks, if they did BM hunters would be a good choice.

This is never going to work. Its going to be OP and mandatory or underbalanced and no one will want them. Even more so in m+

Warlock is a ranged caster that drains life from its enemies and funnels health to their demons.
A healing spec is very much in line with their abilities.
And it would translate well to their gear. Being cloth wearing, staff welding, int users in every spec.
Warlocks just arent tanks
I am intrigued. I hope they are not as squishy as Devastation.

At first glance skimming over the article it comes across as a bard type of class to me. I think I am wrong in that assumption thoughā¦ I mean a DPS spec cannot rely that heavily on buffs alone.
Also when I put further thought into it specs giving parties buffs it isnāt unusual and has been done before. I thought of a time when Boomkin apart of a party automatically gave party members extra crit damage. 
I am unsure how it is going to unfold but ultimately I think people wanted another spec to be a tank one. So that might end up disappointing some people. I understood why and was trying to stand behind this. New tank might have people wanting to go try it outā¦ hopefully enjoyable to play too.
I honestly hope that if they keep adding to this new spec. That they will release more dragonic type of Allied Races so we can have more than just one race that plays them. Only one race is pretty harsh ā¦ I understand it has to have dragon lineage was the explanation. Alright we have come across lots of different ones in the Isles now. (Some I feel the people there did a great job designing tooā¦) Please let more enjoy the new class.

RIght on, about time they added a support spec. Still miss the old shaman totems.

Same with some earth bending thrown in the mix. I am more interested in the Bronze aspect personally. So curious how this will unfold. I wont knock it til I try it so hopefully itās a great spec experience.
Thereās tons of damage specs over 20 tanks have the least amount of options why are you so against them getting another?
Well, I liked enhancement most when a 2hder was involved but enhancement use to tank in vanilla a weeeee bit.
