I’ve had 2 drop for one character and 1 each on like 3 other characters.
Considering the skill/time/gold required, and the limit to 2 embellished items per, I’m not sweating the low drops. 5-6 felt like enough drops to start, looking back, even on characters where I crafted less than ideal items (like, looking back, I dunno about having made an alchemist stone)
Yeah but you have to do it in around about way. I put money on the account by buying tokens. I gifted the expansion to my second account.
I had to buy one month subscription because you can’t log in to buy a token without gametime. So as much as I would like to say I didn’t spend real life money. I did spend fifteen dollars.
I then traded my gold to my second account to purchase tokens for game time. And then I had to wait the twelvemonth waiting game… Yeah it’s round about. But I like it and there are other rewards besides this get on the way

The best source seems to be killing rares. Go to the 3 elite areas where the spawn rates are high. I average about 1 per week doing this (which is obviously 2x as fast as when they were hard gated).
You can buy them with 12 currency, for filling up your vault. You can get 6 a week if you don’t get an upgrade in the vault.
I’ve seen a grand total of two, both from M+ final chests.

Half expected a vendor by now seeing as endlessly killing the rares that are on that 30 minute respawn.Rares in the primal storm area and the other areas aound the zones.Zaraleck Caverns (Most likely not on there loot table same for forbidden reach). Nothing. The last one I think i got was in 10.0.5 from one of those primal storm events.
Quite the huge failure blizzard did there.I am sitting on 11 first time crafts that will probably take at least the rest of this and most of next year with a lot of RNG to get done. and honestly I don’t mind doing that since grinding that sort of stuff I enjoy more of the raiding dungeon and PVP side of the game.I will only do those to get a bit of gear not much else.
But yes add a vendor blizz make it cost 10-20 whelp crests 1-3 drake crests etc.Or just make em cost 10k gold I don’t really care anything just do it.Sparks are dead reagents either do this or remove them from the crafting system like you did with that epic er reagent in 10…5.
Sparks of Ingenuity are no longer a thing. You are guaranteed 1 Spark of Shadowflame every 2 weeks; or 1 a week if you select the tokens as a Vault option.
If you have been farming for Ingenuity Sparks this whole time you have been wasting your time.
NNow that I have looked back into my farming as of Late you are right.Sparks have been replaced with Crests.I honestly feel dumb looking at what I wrote here now.Main thing I get from those rares now are the Profession item Knowledge point things which I’d rather prefer at the moment.
I literally get a spark every week . All I do is run through the raid and a boss drops it. Never fails
