starting to get my mind right for WwI, what’s your plan for 70-80?
grind new quests/dungeons/live in new raid?
just curious

Level.
Farm.
Pets.
Pets.
Fishing first. Always fishing first.
For actual levelling? Follow the breadcrumbs, do the quests, skin the beasts, see what I unlock along the way.
For alts, do whatever seems fun as my mood shifts from day to day. I’m sort of stuck in a tug of war between wanting to be faster and more efficient, especially if there’s another long profession grind for my alts to get started on, and wanting to just meander around soaking in the ambiance.
Still, it’s all a long way off.
Every single new quest on my paladin. Level both my pally and sham to max. Try out alts to see which I’d want to do endgame on for the season. If it’s neither my pally nor sham, level that character to 80 as well.
My drac main through MSQ. If it’s a fun MSQ my whole warband (I’m only sure that it will have my old night and blood elf mains, I haven’t decided for the 4th slot), if I don’t see myself running it 4 times (as was the case with shadowlands), get number 3 and 4 up through dungeons and world events.
Get Shaman to cap. Play Shaman. Level alts when locked out of things. Play those alts.
When new expansions come out I’m always having so much fun that I overconsume the content. I’m going to try to play it in moderation this time.
I’m going to savor every word of quest text, every line of recorded dialogue. I’m going to just wander the new areas, experiencing the zones as aesthetic spaces, instead of just running from one piece of punctuation to another. I’ll let myself get distracted while questing, stopping to fish, to catch wild pets, to actually explore before a quest tells me to go there.
Quest, Battle Pets, Gathering, Professions… Rinse and repeat. If delves and follower dungeons are available, I will take advantage of those as well when leveling leads me to them.
I know a lot of people find DF boring but it’s so worldbuilding-oriented that, as a lore sicko, I’ve never read the quest text with this much attention. I hope the saga delivers on that.
Plan? I just improvise.
Start digging trenches to get a head start. Time the machine guns so they don’t shoot your propellers off. Hand out plenty of gas masks and when you win the war DO NOT put war reparations on Germany. That never ends well.
Grind quests and grind dungeons. Very straightforward.
Hit cap
Get ready for Season 1
Farm whatever annoying World Rare drops a mount/transmog that will become increasingly difficult to get as time goes on due to other people around.
I’m going to try to out level my friends and talk about fake story points throughout the new leveling zones.
I can’t believe Alleria Windrunner was killed off in the delve intro tutorial, what a waste of a character.
Think I’ll try for a chill guild again. Likely raid when em if I can.
If not, I’ll probably solo level and chill in M+ or something.
Im not thinking that far ahead lol
Man I cant believe that Anduin married a Niffen to secure an alliance with them and get us fast passage, then assassinated Wrathion for Ebyssian. That sure was a shocker.
Quest, level, get bored, repeat or quit until the itch to play returns.
Same as always.
Typically m+ and raid are not available week 1.
So hit level cap and finish all the quests.
Run the mythic 0 dungeons.
Wait for season to start.
Same thing I do every expansion. Fail and get cyber bullied.
Swap Main 17 times during progression because 17 people quit before we hit the first wall boss. Then spend three times as many pulls on that boss as it would normally take because we have to retrain a whole team healers in a second tank again. Suggested on the form that maybe we don’t want to make mythic raiding so unpleasant and uncomfortable, and then get made fun of on the forum by people with no mythic boss kills.
Find time to ilvl cap my favorite 6 classes. If bear tanks are meta, I may try to make another run at the title and burn out at 0.4% from pug life, triggering another round of cyber bullying every time I make a suggestion about class design.
