Sorry Horde

The current AV situation is distilled from 3 truths.

  1. People are playing for rewards, and not for the the win. (They’re playing for rep, not winning.)
  2. Rewards are front-loaded. (rep is awarded early in the battle and then becomes depleted with no incentive to stay to the end.)
  3. The penalty for leaving a game is less than it would have cost them to finish a game. (15min deserter debuff vs 45+min long AV battle with no meaningful rep.)

As long as all 3 of these things remain true, you could give the Alliance ANY map, and they’ll still lose.

No,

After premades were broken alliance AV had a bot infestation, which took blizzard a few months to fix, after it got fixed alliance had already given up, but it wasn’t the map causing the losses back then either, it was having 15-25 afk, leech, leveling, bot “players” per team.

Alliance lost so much after the premades were broken because of their own teammates not actually being there to try to win. After blizzard addressed the issues causing this the alliance had the same problem, because the defeatist mentality had set into the alliance AV players as a whole.

If blizzard was faster at addressing the bot/leech issue alliance had, then alliance would not have gotten a defeatist mentality for AV and they would see much higher winrates right now. But they can’t win when most of their team is focused on the strategy of “rep till lose”.

You are using the current state of alliance in AV and incorrectly thinking that was always the alliance mentality in AV. It has nothing to do with premades.

The current HPH meta of our sweaty overlords has more to do with any and all problems for AV and pvp in general than some concocted nonsense about ‘horde this’ and ‘alliance that’.

You just didn’t read the part about blizzard taking to long to address the bot issue which caused the defeatist mentality did you?

Botting is not an alliance specific issue.

If you honestly believe alliance have not played AV to win, but only for rep, you’d be wrong. I ran with a premade a few weeks ago. They announced they were a premade at the start of the match. The pugs in that group were excited at the prospect of a win. They were especially happy when we did win. We even summoned Ivus. Alliance want to win. They have just accepted the fact that it is highly unlikely without a level of coordination they won’t typically get in a pug.

Call that defeatism or whatever misnomer you choose to apply, but that’s the reality of alliance AV. That’s why they chose to farm rep so they’d gain some benefit for their time.

You’re in a thread literally lamenting the fact they cannont cheese rep anymore.

And horde queue times will go up, you might not care about that but i bet some horde do.

Which has what to do with your snide comment about alliance concern about queue times? If you don’t want honest debate, then say so.

This whole thread is “They took our easy rep away, so I hope you Horde like your queue times.” How can you not see that?

I responded to you claiming that:

Because that comment is straight up false. Again, if you don’t want honest debate, say so.

If the alliance stop doing AV altogether so will the horde. That might sound like a big loss but if no one is doing it no one is being affected.

I guess one can still choose to lament over that particular situation but its just opting to waste your time crying over spilled milk. Best to just write it off and be done with it which is an option thats already in full effect.

This thread is LITERALLY about people being sad that they cannot cheese rep instead of playing to win.

O trust me they care

I guess it wasnt that obvious afterall.

And yet you comment that because of current rep conditions, alliance would lose in ANY map, but want no one to respond to that?

Don’t bring a topic into a discussion if you don’t want people to respond to it.

Its true, as long as its more efficient for them to lose to get what they want, they will lose. You could give the Alliance a map they could win 100% of the time on, but if it took 90minutes to win, and all the rep was consumed in 15 minutes…they would STILL CHOOSE to lose.

You tried attacking me, saying people were not playing for rep alone. And I proved this very thread as an example…and then you some how say I am not addressing what you’re saying. That is dishonest at best. But as long as you keep attacking, it doesnt matter.

The horde threw away 90% of their AVs in retail for years for fast honor gain. No one who loses at that rate gives 2 craps about winning. Case closed.

If the tables were turned here in classic it would be the same thing here. No one is a victim, everyone is complicit.

None of the other fixes matter, ones that they have specifically been asking for, as alliance cannot see past the exploit fix.
