You’re gonna have to deal with longer AV queues now because of the AV changes. Instead of actually fixing the BG they made things worse for everyone again. Horde had to wait in a long Q but they got the win every time. Ally has 5 minute Qs but they get good rep from druids in trade of a win.

It’s a good batch of fixes, the problem is that it doesn’t deal with the biggest imbalance of all and the cause of the current horde meta: the cave location/rezzing situation and the defense that it enables at IB GY.
If a change is made to that, then AV would be in a great situation.

If they did that, the meta would be shattered overnight. More alliance would queue AV again, and the horde queue time would plummet. It would be great… but Blizzard is too busy making all these other irrelevant changes.

How is it worse? all they did was fix the jumping up the walls and generals are now guarded by their men.

People still play AV? Noone in my guild does or anyone I know…I hit exalted 1st 3 days when it came out and will never come back there ever again.

People are always going to need rep. Personally my last char has 2 bars left on revered. Can’t wait to hang it up until BC. At that point the tokens are used for gear, so you’ll have to go back to get more. Hopefully this awful meta won’t be around anymore at that point.

I am getting the impression from the Forum Harpies that the Alliance NEEDS to completely outgear and be more organized than the Horde OPFOR just to win a BG, is that the case?

No but you need an excuse and/or justification that gets you off the hook as being part of the problem.
Right now in retail AV is completely different, towers are guarded by super strong elites so you can’t ninja cap towers. If you do ninja cap the towers without killing the captains when you pull the boss they teleport to the boss and until they die they passively heal the boss 10% of his HP asecond. Placements of spawns/GYs are extremely balanced.
Old AV was a tug of war and the Alliance main advantage was the chokepoint bridge leading to their base where they could funnel the Horde while they NPC archers picked people off. This allowed easy and fast farming for Ivus to be summoned and Calvary which would lead to a big push to drek eventually.

Pointing out the obvious doesn’t mean we’re showing concern. I don’t care if horde sit in queues for days just like you don’t care if alliance ever win AV. Don’t try to take the moral high ground in this debate.
Blizzard gave us the worst version AV. If any bg map, including AV, put alliance 20 seconds closer to objectives, horde would be crying foul too.

If its that obvious and they dont care whats then whats the point exactly? The horde dont care much more than the alliance do - theyre just there for the rep too - maybe some hks because theyre hard to come by in the other bgs some days. But its not like the horde collectively loves and cherishes AV and would be destitute without it.
This is just another prime example of the players suck and the AV (pvp in general) they made manifest is a good reflection of this.
Classic PvP is one big whinefest on both sides. Seriously, to think whining is a faction specific thing is just roleplaying the fake faction fantasy war on the forums - pretty infantile tbh.
Even so, I dont think the horde would be as apathetic as the alliance currently are unless they had the same queue times. There will always be someone whining about something but I think the horde would just adapt to the disadvantage - cuz youre not waiting that long to get steamrolled.

Nah it’s primarily Horde whining on the forums.
- Whine about AV until premades get nerfed
- Whine about AV again when alliance find a work around that doesn’t effect alliance pugs nerf # 2
- Whine about Premades and demand blizzard separate the brackets
- Whine about queue times when it’s completely the Horde’s fault
