Why do you think final fantasy 14 doesnt have a easily accessible dps meter.its also why people consider ff14 for casuals who just want to have fun.And WoW is for sweatlords.Not to say they dont have top end content,But in ff14 flaming someone for dps meters even posting dps meters is a suspendable/bannable offense.
Not every spec should be viable. Bad players will always choose bad specs, so it acts as a filter. Working as intended.
They get easy groups as tanks while leveling. For the last couple years people didn’t want anything other than a paly tank. Ret struggling is balance.
Not my fault pally players are super happy irl. If you catch my meaning. Super happy here, means another word, an old word of which has different definitions. Pallys are SUPER HAPPY.

Maybe you should too. Raids are composed of 100% DPS, Tanks, and Healers of which Warriors comprise of none as a preferred option. And until the Ulduar iLvl buff was announced we were resigned to being irrelevant until ICC - in all raid roles.
We haven’t been stamping our feet and demanding buffs though. And now Blizzard say they’re open to class balance changes. Suddenly the most populous class in the game is jumping up and down demanding they get the vip path to the front of the queue …
Blizzard have opened pandoras box with this and shouldn’t be delving into class balance changes in classic at all. As it is it will just become a case of the squeaky wheel gets the oil.

When you’re bad at the game and can’t push I win macro to be top 5 in raid.
Ret is fine, you’re bad at it.
Blizzard isn’t gonna help you stop being bad.
I have a 98.5 avg and consistently perform why am I bad?If you’re using a 1button macro you should just uninstall begone rogue who just comes in to pour salt.

Seriously, figuring out how to balance ? MAYBE by just letting spells work different vs PVE targets than they do vs PVP targets ? I mean thats not rocket science, and an argument from the community since classic forums…

Feral and both warrior dps specs are parsing as low as ret pallies right now so I’m not seeing an issue.
As a flex Tank/Heal/PVP Heal I don’t feel anything you mentioned
Both will perform much better than ret paladins with ilvl scaling next tier.
bro this aint retail, this aint a game being developed, no one cares about your warcraft logs on wotlk, your playing a old version of the game, man the stuff you people cry about is insane, no one is going to do balance changes so you can see bigger numbers on a website.
How many BM Hunter are they bringing?
Hunters have two other DPS specs that are viable.
Before you ask, there are 80%+ dps spots in typical raids too. Classes should have a viable DPS spec in WotLK.

I actually miss those days, I played FF11 before coming to WoW way back in time, and all people cared about was setting up your skill chains holding agro, and provoking in a timely manner, setting up the Thief’s sneak Attack…
