It does 2294 healing for 1100 Mana. But Flash Heal does 9407 for 1800 Mana. Judging by this comparison, it is NOT efficient at all. It is a mana burner. That is contrary to the spell description which calls it efficient. If it is to be accurate, the description ought to read: “A mana burner spell that does instant healing and applies Atonement.”
I think the efficiency of plea refers to its application of atonement with an instant cast, no cooldown spell. As opposed to mana efficiency.
Here is the exact description: “A quick, efficient plea to heal an ally for 2246.” You are saying that it is time-efficient? But the word “quick” already means it is time-efficient. So if efficient here means “time-efficient” it is redundant. And I don’t see any other way it could be efficient except for perhaps being mana-efficient. Perhaps it is efficient in some other way. I just don’t see it.
yeah it’s a niche spell it seems. i guess you’d use it when you dont have an atonement on someone already that needs it. other instant applicators of the spell are costly, we can use pw:s but thats hefty and penance but thats a waste.
you wont be using it a lot of much anywhere i’d think. maybe delves? but it’s a cheap atonement button with a small heal, instant and less mana. i’d rather have a mini shield or add back regen or something like what they did with holy with their words but they need stuff too because theyre bad rn lol. dunno wont be shocked if plea gets reworked or removed later on, just seems unnecessary when you can just fh for a bit more mp, a small cast and way more heals tbh.

Not to mention you can proc 50% less mana cost and instant cast flash heals, which makes plea even more worthless.
And as oracle your penance will passively cleave atonement onto an ally when used, so there’s another reason to not use/need plea
I’ve tried messing around with it in keys and honestly it just eats my mana, does almost no healing, and i don’t find it very impactful at all. Casting it feels like I’m stopping my entire rotation for very little gain. At least if I use PWS or flash heal to apply it I get some healing or a big shield to go with it.
Overall though I think Oracle disc feels a bit heavy on mana costs, especially since we lost shadowfiend. I think they could lower mana costs a tad and it’d be perfect.
It never was, that’s why the took it out the first time.
