Sorry, but I don't group up with people who aren't Trust Level 3

Just read the requirements for the Trust leveling.
I sense shades of “pathfinder” for flying subtly placed among it.

I’m waiting for forum achievements to start popping up.

I looked into that, comparing the view of my .json and yours.

I think you are okay. I don’t see the ‘auth’ section when I look at your profile, with the devices and ips listed - only when I look at mine.

I see what you mean… still… it gives me an uneasy feeling. Me no like.

Yeah I know what you mean. The idea of all the random forum trolls having your home IP is a bit unsettling isn’t it? I did notice they also anonymized the devices though - recording the OS type but not the machine name or such. That’s a good secondary protection… but yeah - agreed I wouldn’t want my device ip’s getting out.

The MVPs had a chat about this today. Bluespacecow brought it up and it appears it can only be seen by YOU. You can’t see my info and I can’t see yours. If you did not already now, Blizz has been tracking your IP forever. It is just not public to anyone else.

Bluespacecow is rock solid when it comes to understanding of API’s.

I’m sure we could bend the rules, just a little. For me? I know how to make it up to you my luminous lily.

So not only do you have to grind in game but now you get to grind in the forums.
I find this new forum set up flat out comical.

But you’ll still have to deal with people leaving in the midd

That really doesn’t make me feel any better. :male_detective:

I’m a university English prof. and I’m always telling my students to write with brevity…

I hope they don’t visit these forums.

Very funny!

Touchè, mon ami!

I know it does not. However it is used for several things, including protecting you. Gmail does it too as do many websites. If a strange IP login is detected it locks your account and notifies you. If you have an Authenticator it reduces chances of that. It is really for our safety. They can also use it to detect account sharing or other possible violations.

Surely this isn’t the case. I used to be able to link people to warcraftlogs, but I can’t do that anymore. I’ve posted more than 10 times on the new forums, so I’m definitely at trust level 1.
