As much enjoyment as I’ve gotten from prepatch so far (in spite of Blizzard forcing me, as a low ilvl returning player, to PvP in low level brackets instead of at 50 because of a lack of catch-up gear), I’m not going to purchase Shadowlands if the PvP gearing situation isn’t overhauled and fixed.
Which means I’m probably not purchasing Shadowlands, unfortunately. Because we all know how well Blizzard has listened to players – and PvPers specifically – in the past. The current leadership ought to seriously be ashamed of how their own playstyle biases have impacted how the difference spheres of the playerbase have been treated and prioritized.
Reminder that not so many years ago, the amount of the casual playerbase participating in PvP exceeded that which participated in PvE. Now, the PvP community is comparatively a ghost town. Wonder why?
It was too quick/low for PvE, and ruined PvE, forcing everyone into grinding ashran to get raid ready. So this is probably why they’ll NEVER do WoD PvP gearing again, despite it being easily fixed by just reducing the gears PvE ilvl ;/
Just look at PvP gearing from tbc-wod. There’s a reason why it worked for so long. A lot of people played arena and bgs then and liked the gearing system, overall just better.
Guys please reply here and let blizz know that this is unacceptable for those of us that want to play PVP. PVP players should not be punished for doing what they love. Its ridiculous to have time gating and on sub par gear that is outdone by a simple mythic 7. Please blizzard respect us pvpers and let us play the game the way we want to.
@Mikesavage : Now it seems they make too much off of PvP Boosts. Seems like they had it all thought/planned out. No wonder they gave us such little information on PvP vendors. We would have rebelled. We, the players, lose again…
