Nothing, get 3/5 and you’re done. Last 2 rewards are not worth it.
2 more rifts and I’ll be done. Now sitting on a mountain of Para flakes and whole bunch of gryphs.
I’m only grinding rep on one character for the achievement and I do it once a day. My alts go once a week for transmog and random drops. I was able to finish the tier sets for 2 of my profession alts which makes farming easier.
When I get exalted I should have enough flakes to buy whatever hasn’t dropped, so I’ll have all the pets and transmog and mounts.
It’s optional content.
The currency, Paracausal Flakes, is absolutely BoA. You can grind on your main, transfer flakes to an alt who can then by gear and trinkets. Seriously, this event is well designed. It has something for everyone.
It’s just going to become near impossible once the crowds go away unless people use groupfinder to form groups for it. Even then, it’s unlikely that a single raid group can get an epic chest.
I logged in early today since I’m off this week and was staring down an Arthas in a time rift that I’d need to take down solo. I did give it the ol’ college try but there was no way it was gonna happen.
I’ve been tossing the gryphons at randos like stealth ninja throwing stars, and sending my flakes to alts to get EVERY armor type Jingoist set.
You can’t buy catchup gear with flakes, only transmogs, mounts, pets and I think some of the trinkets?
The catchup gear comes from the weekly quest, but you need to be 70 to buy anything, one piece at a time.
Ok, yes, apparently the gear is locked behind the weekly currency. However you CAN buy the trinkets. So this event is still a way to get mounts, pets, toys, xmogs, and ilvl 402 trinkets. Plus, while the drop rate is around 10%, I’ve been getting weapons, gear, shields etc from the event end bosses.
There is zero to complain about this one - it’s a wealth of all kinds of stuff. And you can even park your alt up on one of the columns like I see so many others doing, not lift a finger, and still get drops.

When the content loses its hotness, you cannot find a single soul to run with…
Bosses can be done with just a few. The daily is insanely short.
Will it take longer? Maybe. But it’s not going away. It can still be done. People still run Storm’s Fury, too.
I don’t binge reps. I just get them passively for the most part. I’m almost 4/5 and I barely run this stuff. I just run them once or twice if I have the Encapsulated Destiny and then a couple times with my guildies sometimes.

That’s just the thing - there’s barely a way to get passive rep in this event. It requires a lot of other people.
I went hard the entire time just to see how much rep I got from participating in events (some of which can’t be done with one person, like pushing the boss into the electric pillar, bleeding off the energy from the pylons, and one of the baby murloc rescues where the portal is far from the murloc spawning with an elite in the way, if you get any of those events through RNG that’s it for you for the rest of the time) and ended up with about 400 - WITH the 250 from the fight at the end. If it’s not possible to do that (the rift does have a timer so you can’t just plink at the boss indefinitely) you’re looking at a grind of about 150 rep per event, IF you get lucky with RNG. And if you can’t do the last boss, you can’t do the weekly quest that gives you 1k either.
The Arthas fight is definitely not tuned for just “a few”. I was able to solo Gill’dan when I ended up in an empty shard but it was a real slog, and I play a pet class who was able to hold aggro. Eonar and the Old God thing might be doable, potentially, but the fear not being soaked by anyone else in the Old God fight could be a real problem. So could soloing down all the nodes. Varian seems like he’d be a nightmare solo.
At that rate, worst case scenario you’re looking at 280 rifts to max out Exalted.
You don’t have the luxury of waiting for a slow grind on this one, unless you want that “slow grind” to take a year’s worth of doing 5 rifts a week.

But it doesn’t. 90% of the time I don’t even get a purple bag. I’m on a low pop server. If I don’t join a raid (which I don’t usually do), I’m lucky I see the green bag.
And how much rep are you getting per rift?
And how much is that compared to the 42k that you need to hit exalted?
I have no idea. I don’t keep track of those numbers. All I know is that I’m around 8500/10000 at 3/5 now. And that’s with what I said above. Which isn’t doing much of anything.
What bug mounts?
No clue what you’re talking about.

Trinkets yes. The gear is all bought with a token that is unfortunately not BoA.
