100%. I’ve thought I was right and been wrong before. Also, there are several r1 war and rogue players who complain that their spec is “unplayable”, for example.
New vegas and 3 were probably my favorites. New vegas is more fun and silly, 3 has much more serious and well-written story arcs, and 4 has some much more grey philosophical elements to the story, but I didn’t like the options for the endings.
I’m fairly reasonable guy so more than likely I would. During our conversation I made a point of trying to be respectful dispite disagreeing with you on the topic.

My ego really has nothing to do with it I make mistakes all the time I’m not really afraid of admitting to being wrong. I just don’t agree that racials are winning or losing games and haven’t been convinced otherwise.

New Vegas has been my go to so far.
New Vegas had me hooked the longest time but 3 has a lot of nostalgia for me and 4 did seem a little disappointing. Hmm I think I’ll start with 3 than go back to New Vegas one I beat 3 again.
We had a disagreemeant over whether racials lose or win games in a different thread and I said they aren’t the reason and Abrams said they do and we had a good conversation up to a point till he brought my triple deeps 3s win rate and double deeps 2s win rate in my opinion in an effort to embarrass me out of the conversation.
Something I’ve noticed in the many years of reading these forums is that the people who normally complain about this stuff are the players who it doesn’t even impact in the first place.
While I wont pick individuals in this thread and call them out when I check these people on check-pvp it’s strange that most are sub Duelist rating. At these levels a Nelf racial being overtuned is not causing you to lose games. Nor do I ever even see people sub 2100 utilizing meld properly in games, I go entire arena and shuffle games at Rival rating and players don’t even meld a single time… let alone meld war bolts etc.
PvP in this game has serious issues that need to be addressed and meld is not one of them. I mean lets be honest here, some of you are posting from level 70 alts when your main isn’t even Challenger 1 but you guys are worried about…meld?
tldr: Racials aren’t losing your games, it was the other 50 mistakes you made prior that compounded to that point. If it was then the top priest in 3v3 wouldn’t be UD right now it would be a Nelf. Racials play such a small impact on the entirety of the thousands of factors going into an arena match that they are negligible unless you are literally a r1 player.

Neither is me zoning into arena without gems enchants or a few pieces of green gear but it sure doesn’t help
You’re being disingenuous when you say it affects all mmrs.
You know better than anyone that people aren’t using these spells in a way that actually makes a difference at lower ratings. You know it’s arbitrary and completely negligible outside of an AWC setting.
If racial abilities really made that big of a difference you wouldn’t be r1 in shuffle and mglad on all classes that aren’t nelf my friend.
On the other hand yes you zoning in with a few pieces of greens without gems and enchants is certainly causing losses. No skill is going to make a difference when you die in a 3 sec stun from full because you lack verse.

I get that you don’t want your racial nerfed but it’s objectively imbalanced in both keystone dungeons and pvp and has been for several years.

Another elf dying on the hill of “the racial isn’t even good”. Yeah, man. Every Druid and Rogue just likes the aesthetics. Every keystone tank doesn’t need it for skips or tech they just like how it looks. It’s just quality of life.
So is every other race, that’s how racials work?
For the record my main for the last 3 seasons in pvp has been human not nelf even though my class can play nelf.
Throw potion for 40k dmg or another charge of vanish. 
I love these epic roleplaying decision making choices where I pick busto racial or no racial, effectively.
Also saying it’s only relevant to competitive play (it isn’t) as if that means it can’t be adjusted is wild.
I mean you’re the one who decided to pick that race over anything with the OP racials you listed out, yet still managed to reach what would be considered the near apex of pvp achievements/skill.
You are just proving my point while trying to tell me I’m wrong.
Looking at the ranking there are hundreds of people that could have played nelf but chose a different race and are still top 0.1% players.

Race does matter and it doesn’t matter. The issue is people looking at things like everything is black and white.

I explained to the person that people can use racials to win games. 1 of the example I gave was something like…
"if a player melds a chaos bolt to avoid dmg that would otherwise kill them, to give their healer time… then went on to win the game, the racial would have effectively won the game for them. or the same to avoid CC to get another global or 2 out to secure a kill.
You could argue those people would have won regardless… who knows? I’m sure it happens… but it wouldn’t change the fact there’s scenarios that a racial can with the game for you.
at that point another player with high achvs entered the chat and also told the person here he’s wrong, to which he continues to insist he’s right and made it about me pointing out he might not be the 1 to tell higher ranked players they’re wrong.
Personally, I didn’t see anything offensive with what I said and it felt more like an excuse to make to about something else from the other guy… but who knows. it is what it is.
There’s a bit of nuance to this subject that’s often kind of neglected
I can pop into arena on a warrior of most races and have a good time, but I’m kind of trolling myself and my team by not playing gnome both offensively (less pressure) and defensively (can’t rooted, can’t vene/fear).
Is it gonna outright impede our ability to climb? No, at least not for a while. Are we gonna lose some games off it? Yes.
At the end of the day the racial (among others) is too strong relative to its alternatives and that can’t really be argued. It’s just a matter of to what degree and is it problematic.
Every Rogue/Druid is Nelf for a reason. Every Warrior is Gnome. Every keystone player is dwarf/nelf.
