You sound super impatient. It’s been a little over a week and you’re throwing a tantrum about content. It’s a surprise you’ve played wow this long when we’ve had 9 month content draughts in the past
This is spot on, what were they thinking? Idk if we’ve ever had such fast leveling.
The fastest guy was literally 1 hour… Obv these people use bugs and that’s insane, but we all reached max very quickly. For… three weeks of gearing in normal/heroics before content releases?
I guess nothing would ever be enough for the player base, but it was a weird choice to have season 1 start so much later than the release.
To the best of my knowledge it seems like people are missing two parts. You saw that you weren’t being retroactively awarded credit towards the “collect 10 globs of wax” quest and so deleted the items and refarmed. The collect quest is separate from where you actually turn in the globs, since you can donate way more than 10. You are only tasked with collecting 10 to fulfill the (Weekly? I think) first portion.
The other folks were skipping ahead to explain that you can turn wax globs in as stacks of 5 to the other Kobold standing next to the one who sends you out to collect. I think you need something like 100 or so globs to max out your “personal contribution” bar and receive a “Firelit Ruby” which can be turned in to the first Kobold (who sent you out to collect the wax) for a variety of rewards. From profession materials to pets to just a bag of money.
(Edit) Wanted to come back to also address the issue of not being able to turn in. I know every once in awhile I’ve gone up to Gnawbles and his dialogue box seems borked up and I can’t turn in any globs of wax. It might have to do with the community filling the bar and triggering some cool down or maybe it’s a glitch but it usually sticks around for the rest of my playtime even if zi log out and back in. That might have occurred for you when you spoke with them. Increasing the confusion over what to do with wax globs.
It is wonky and I can remember doing the same as you (deleting some globs from my inventory) my first time at it but after completing both the “Collect 10 Wax” and then earning some Rubies it makes a little more sense to me now on the other side of it. Folks were just trying to say it’s worth holding onto globs even if they weren’t earning credit towards the collect quest. Hope this helps and doesn’t come across as condescending or anything, just genuinely trying to help!
I’ll…admit there is some annoying and blatant bugs in the game… like in that first story required dungeon involving the stormriders. After second boss there’s a long drop into water… simple right… yeah no I dropped seeing water and the water failed to actually behave like it exists…so i slammed into hard stone and died…under supposed water. Go to respawn and it respawned me at the start of the dungeon and I had to run back through most of it just to use my priest’s slow fall move to not die again. Not…going to lie that made me real nervous as…not all classes got a slow fall ability to save myself from humiliation and death
Yes, you’re the only one who understands. Everyone else is literally making fun of my brain aneurysm comment. That’s this WoW community for ya. Even when you’re genuinely lost they still make fun of you. So cringe and they wonder why no one talks in game anymore.
