Sooo every level is meaningful

It was up for me the entire time lol I didn’t even buy the ticket either, I don’t even see the point besides in game stuffs

I found it on Twitch. This is a non-issue.

It´s boosted up a lot. Just one expansion zone is required to become 50, as Ion said, play through MOP and become 50. This also makes a lot of achievements and race choices trivial. Tomorrow we will know more.

Hah, no. Not if they said every level is meaningful. Tossing a talent point into a filler slot for several levels in a row, multiple times as you level up, is not meaningful.

I have never said or wanted that.

That’s not what Ion said… Apparently the leveling process is still too slow. Ian even confirms everything before endgame is viewed as meaningless so apparently we rush it… Well maybe if they fixed the journey we wouldn’t be in a rush to leave it.

There’s no fixing it. Most people aren’t going to find the content engaging after a time or two let alone the dozens of times we’ve probably done it over the past 15 years and there’s nothing that can change that. Content is only relevant when it’s current. Anything prior to that is a novelty for people who haven’t done it.

So how do you engage new players then if nothing is catered to them? They get dumped into this confusing mess of storylines and features, and the message to them is basically - you don’t get to have fun until you hit max level.

Why do you think they’re cutting levels in half? And those new players haven’t done the content before so, as I explicitly stated that you quoted, it’s a novelty for them where they get introduced to the game and get to learn the basics. Did you even read what you responded to? Is it confusing? For the bulk of everyone else it’s not even a novelty after they’ve done it many times over. It’s just an arbitrary time sink that isn’t enjoyable.

I’m talking about the journey from the point of view of a new player. The reason they keep making levelling faster is to cater to people who want to quickly level alts to max level content. The levelling is very fast and easy, you quickly outlevel story lines, and can / will be able to jump to any section of the expansion history that you want.

You describe levelling like a tutorial section and yes, the new player learns their buttons. But this type of levelling experience is like sprinting through an empty amusement park, and seems like it would be a meaningless and arbitrary time sink for the new player as well.

To me it feels like wow doesn’t know what kind of game it wants to be. If it wants to be an RPG I think the levelling and player character journey should have more consideration. If it wants to be a fantasy action esport I don’t see why there are levels at all.

So you’re going to pretend that this is the reason and not, you know, the many reasons they’ve explained to us that they’re making leveling faster? I mean, why should anyone engage you when everything you’re talking about is entirely in your own head and conflicts with the reasons Blizzard gave us on the matter already? Are you just salty that they’re reducing the cap and speeding up leveling?

Hell, this is from the Deep Dive recap 3 hours ago:

It also takes a long time to level, which hinders new players who want to join up with their friends in the latest content. Level banding helped with this, but we have our sights set on a larger overhaul of the leveling system. Our goals are to make our expansion stories feel better to play through, while also increasing the speed at which players can start experiencing the latest content with their friends. We want to make every level you gain feel meaningful and rewarding, whether that means gaining a new spell or ability, getting a new rank of one you already have, earning a new mount, or getting access to some other benefit.

It means nothing.

It’s great that they learned that this is a MMORPG and not a handicapped MOBA, from what I read. Abilities coming back (C’mon, shammies used to have more than TWENTY totems), etc.
But what it boils down is: is leveling will be difficult? Because in retail you literally faceroll your abilities and gain rewards, from leveling to end game (warfronts, islands).
As a warrior in classic, I have to pick which NPCs I will attack, be careful with pack of casters, select my weapon based on my talents, I have to plan.

I abandoned retail because I cannot concieve that someone is paying a monthly signature to faceroll and win rewards.

PS: Got my baby 4y daugther, got into a leveling dungeon with my Druid. Tanking. She kept pressing 1 (Swipe) and 2 (Trash), I walked the druid around w my mouse. Ataldazar.
At the end one of the other members told her tanking was great. LOLOLOL

i think you’re lost. try here. https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/wow-classic/classic-discussion

I saw they said its gonna be boosted but i have my doubts with a bunch of derelicts as they are are gonna keep this as a thing. Next thing its gonna take 2 expacs to level because we are going tooo fast or go through the zone too fast still.

How can you when the world scales with you and your ilevel? LOL

Disagree. Having the ability to select a lower rank spell strategically worked well in both PvP and PvE and particularly in raids and dungeons. Super glad to have it back again in Classic.

If I remember correctly they stated that the leveling from 10-60 will go 70% faster than what the current leveling is to 120.

Will the panels make more sense than the decisions surrounding almost all of BfA?

NO level means a thing while scaling is in the game or do you like gearing the things you are trying to kill,no matter when you fight them no matter the point in the expac it will all feel the same and in some cases they take longer to kill as you gear, this whole shadowlands squish means nothing and it changes nothing an blizz sure as sht aint fixen any of the things it broke…i mean JC not even meta gems anymore ,they should start by keeping their hands off my damn gear slots and letting me build my toon till then fkem.
