The little island thing looks okay but apparently the ring as it is isn’t worth using cause anything else is better in that slot (unless it gets some nice big buffs). Also it’s just content to keep you strung along on some rando island somewhere.

Mechagon was cool cause there was interest surrounding it during BfA. Nazjatar was cool cause we all were interested in Azshara and the underwater kingdom of her people back then. But this place is some random area. Unless it ends up being interesting in its own way it’ll just be forgotten content. Always willing to try new things though and the devs seemed passionate about working on it in their video so who knows.

So needless to say, aside from the new questing content to enjoy and perhaps cosmetic stuff, I ain’t all that hyperino’d.

i feel like the devs are busy arguing with chris metzen about stuff, and they’re failing at milktoasting his good ideas.

‘we need to add motorcycles and kart racing, with machine-guns, flamethrowers, and rocket launchers!’

‘mr.metzen, we can’t do all that, you know the higher-ups want us to save money on-’

‘i’m sorry, what was the fan reaction to every expansion since me and the old boys left?’

‘well, negative, but-’

‘so shut up, and put it in the game. the only way we’re gonna get this ship floating is if we put the work in, and prop it up with fun ideas, now get to work!’

that sort of thing.

That was probably the best island theyve ever done. It was fun, it was social, it had a ton going on. I loved Mechagon.

Always busy with people flying around on jetpacks and hunting rares for mounts. The pet battles and their dailies were interesting too and i never ever usually did those.

“We need to add more-”

“Yes Mr. Metzen bearded ladies. That’s what we’ve been saying.”

“No, we need-”

“Unnecessarily crippled characters. We get you. We’re working on it.”

“But that’s not-”

“Yes, make Alleria insufferably dumb. Way ahead of you.”

That’s my image of how the convo went down personally.

I wondered about this. There has to be some friction. I hope its all for the better, but i was here for Shadowlands and im constantly worried we’ll backslide into that era again.

same. though with metzen there, i can already feel the game getting better than before.

sure, not everything about tww is good, but - and i hate to admit this - it DOES feel more world of warcraft-y than dragonflight and shadowlands combined. so… it’s got that going for it, atleast. what i’m saying is, if the games gonna get better feeling, it’s gonna be gradual.

Yeah but why a Goblin zone in the middle of the supposed build up to Xal’s new master plans? Feels a bit out of place and just anticlimatic. Why would Xal’atath need Goblins at all? Starting to think this super villain isn’t so super at all. Now if she somehow manipulated events at both Orgrimmar and Stormwind and caused uprisings causing both cities to burn and be partially destroyed that’d be interesting (a bit psychological warfare to cause both sides to be disorganized). Anything that pulls on those OMG strings. But a Goblin city deep underground they just felt like doing cause ‘we just had to bruh’ feels a bit like there’s no plan at all with this expansion.

Could still be a fun raid though I guess. But yeah no clue how Goblins factor in here at all. Why not just destroy the damn with your void army or void powers? Seems like just another distraction we get to stop yet again.

this thread feels like the jail mages i play against in hearthstone. frost nova frost nova rommath potion of illusion lightshow gg suffering pointlessness exposing the futility of my existence and any yearning for meaning or effort with a reward

I still say old legacy currencies should have a vendor to sell them to for TW Badges maybe at a 2:1 ratio or something.

Nah, feel free to go through the updates since September: Posts - blizzard-tracker - World of Warcraft Forums.

And yeah, you’re posting at the low point immediately before a major content patch.

I’d also not blame devs, I’m sure they’re working hard. It’s higher ups that set content cadence.

Certainly seems that way as far as the bugs/glitches go - some of them are literally still live or “active” even though the bug(s) were reported way back in July…

Well, you have to remember, Metzen already said they are already fleshing out 13.1 and likely on to 13.3 or 14.1 by now. They are cranking out new stuff and testing it. They don’t have time to ride the rapid of tears in this place :blue_heart:

Yep they been largely avoiding the playerbase for a while now. Always a good sign.

Fair point. Thats for reminding me i shouldnt attack my brothers in the trenches.

Odd … I could have sworn I read a post not that long ago that was begging the devs to slow down on the rapid pace of changes this expansion to give people to enjoy a character they built before the meta was changed under them?

That feels balance related, no? Im talking about content. Either way, im confident i didnt write that post.
