What I find weird and extremely hard to get used to is something is wacky with melee combat on some classes. Part of it is the change of range which is obnoxious because you have to pretty much stand on the mobs to attack and that isn’t fun but it is something more too since I keep on getting facing the wrong way message which seems to indicate my abilities are moving me past the mobs.
Im very surprised you didnt mention Grim Batol. The rest of your post is solid. The city of echoes Boss is bang on. Its like fighting a raid boss, not a freaking dungeon boss.
Reasons and excuses are not the same. The conversation is way off track at this point, so I’m out.
Yeah thanks for that, except I’m 80 I don’t care what the profile says.
I also have an 80 monk, and 80 shaman not that your argument has to do with anything.
I’ve only read about these maps - haven’t seen one yet.
Mind you just tried my first +8 last night so maybe that’s why…
why you post not on your main if youve got such awesome accomplishments?
I have three toons I play religiously. Meaning every season I hit 3k io on them.
Currently my monk is 612, my paladin is 602, and my shaman is 605.
They are all my main……
Instead of jumping to assumptions a simple raider io search of thugbug will show you that these forums are wrong when it comes to the level of my toon.
Before speaking you should make sure you are accurate cause if you aren’t you end up look stupid.
To be fair here, taking “the route of least resistance” and playing “for the challenge” are somewhat contradictory.
That’s the point.
If you have two options to get gear people will always take the easier route to get gear.
But some, not all of those people will still want the challenge but then there is no point for the challenge because you have the gear you need
In quantities so small it’ll take all S1 by which time S2 will invalidate most of the effort … sounds like a fun game that.
I mean if youre this good that youre hitting 3k io every season than why do you care that delves are giving stuff that youll be way passed in very little time? Its not really equivalent when you are able to go so high
Because its having ripple effects into the M+ community really bad.
Since Blizzard gutted low level keys and bumped everything up to M10 but at the same time did not adjust the reward accordingly. no one is really bothering with M+ 1-6 at the moment ESPEICALLY tanks and healers.
Everyone is burning through Delves so they can get full champ gear, which then make keys 1-6 really pointless beyond knowing the route which does not take but 1 maybe 2 runs of a dungeon. They then abandon everyone below the m7 key.
The problem with this, is there was a very active group of the M+ community that enjoyed the mid key range, the 10-15s that because of the squish, and because of delve showering you in easy to contain gear, that mid key bracket is basically dead.
But it gets worse for the upper keys as well, because now everyone has inflated ilvls you cant really distinguish who is a good player and who is a bad player, which results in the community having to fall back onto being super critical on RaiderIO levels. In DF raider IO really was only taken into consideration when pushing the +20 bracket, because anything from 16-19 people would be able to see just off your M+ score and Ilvl “Ok this person knows what they are doing.” but because everyone’s ilvl is inflated right now people have to start being critical of raider IO.
So its greatly effecting everyone that enjoyed M+ in its previous iterations.
I mean, this isnt really a problem with delves. Its a problem with people
No, its a problem caused by delves and by the M+ squishing.
Devles are insanely easy to do, especially for the rewards they give and how much of it they give.
The bigger issue here is the M+ Squish and change to gearing rewards, but delves have only exacerbated that problem but flooding the already over tuned and under rewarding M+ scene with people who have horribly inflated ilvls trying to push into content that their skill is not really capable of carrying them in.
Before, gear would be able to carring you up into Mid level keys and people who had a bit more skill then those players could push out into the upper level keys and of course the highly skilled pushed into the 20+ keys.
But because of the massive amount of gear that is being distributed ilvls are inflated beyond what peoples skill normally would allow them to reach, and so you are sifting though a bunch of over geared under skilled players to find the ones tha can do M+
This also is bad for those underskilled players because they have no real arena to get better since the low level key bracket is gone, the mid level key bracket is on life support, and groups breakup constantly, more now then ever. So the experience has become even worse.
If anything the fix here is not to change delves, its to revert M+ back to what it was in DF 1-3 in terms of key levels and balancing and rewards.
Personally, i plan to M+ mainly with guildies and other cool people I’ve made friends with pugging in the past. Havent actually needed to grab complete randoms yet. Thats probably your only option since blizz doesnt read the forums
